  1. If you want to win in college athletics, you need a good coach. Good coaches cost money. Now that we're a "full" member of the Big Ten, I'm hoping the trend of paying head coaches competitive salaries ($5M per year for Frost, for example) continues. If we want Nebraska Basketball to be a winner, we need to dish out at least $3M per year.
  2. I agree. But Miles hates zone. I guess he's just stubborn? Would like to see us play more zone. I don't think it would hurt.
  3. It would be something different and fresh. I don't think that would hurt the program.
  4. If/when there is a coaching change, I'd like the next head coach to be someone who at least played at the D-I level.
  5. Nebraska 70 Michigan State 87 7 conference wins
  6. Hopefully they're just focused on finals.
  7. I feel that we also need to work on our pick and roll offense. Because we're not very good at running it offensively, it's tough to get better at defending it in practice.
  8. THANK. YOU. But the guy in Section 204 that D-Wayne talked to early in the first half certainly was a ball of charisma, wasn't he?!
  9. The Michigan State game is on FS1?! Nebraska men's teams has not fared well on FS1 in 2017...
  10. But obsessing is what I'm best at!
  11. Then we are on the same page!
  12. Meh. This is D-I basketball. The Big Ten. You have to be able to produce when you're on the court. Whether it's 35 minutes or 5 minutes, you have to be productive. Jack will get that chance tonight.
  13. I agree with you, but what if we get blown out (20+ points) in each of those games (not likely, but not impossible)? Would there be any validity for "hot seat" talk then? Just want to know people's thoughts on this. Personally, January 1st is a bit early for such talk, but given the outcome of the past three seasons, one can't help but fear a similar result - a result which could (or even SHOULD) cost Miles his job.
  14. They play the games for a reason! GBR!
  15. Did you forget the name of the thread? Haha!
  16. Perhaps we're just trying to not get our hopes up!
  17. I don't think that's the only reason. He's struggles defensively. When he's in the game, I'd like to just see him camped out in the corner. No team would leave him unguarded. They couldn't. Maybe simplifying his role could benefit his 3-point shooting?
  18. I think 1-4 is the most likely scenario; followed by 0-5, 2-3, 3-2, 4-1, 5-0.
  19. I'm confused. How is someone picking BC to beat Nebraska like that Rhode Island game? Was Rhode Island favored in that game? Did someone at ESPN pick them to beat us, too? (As @AuroranHusker pointed out, I remember them storming the court and thinking, "Hey. At least we're a team others are excited to beat now." Boy, I miss that week...)
  20. Instant. Classic.
  21. I was merely suggesting we try something different.
  22. You're right. Everything we've been doing is working and fits the personnel perfectly.
  23. That's a very real possibility. I hope you're right!
