Well yes. But I don’t feel like a lot of our looks are great from 3 either when we’re pulling up 3 feet behind the line or shooting out of an iso situation. I feel like more would drop if the 3’s were taken in the rhythm and flow of the offense, but we don’t have PG that’s great at creating that scenario.

Two things we need more than anything are a PG that understands his role and the system and a legitimate big man that’s at least a threat down low when shots aren’t falling. i think we may have that in Blaise next year. But the PG issue is the most important, and I don’t see some grad transfer PG changing that next year. We need a PG that’s developed and groomed in the system over multiple years for this to work and look like it’s supposed to.

I do think it’s funny that seemingly every fan base knows about Teddy V and his awfulness. The replies to the posts about our game from national outlets were all calling him out. Not a great reputation to have universally lol.

Bench was huge for us today. When we went up USD got anxious and starting taking shots out of the flow of their offense. Bryce is definitely improving as well. Issue is still rebounding. Teams with legit big men are going to be a very tough out for us. Auburn’s big man might eat our team alive.

True but it’s also not like Andre and Wilhelm are lighting it up defensively and grabbing a ton of rebounds anyway. Andre barely plays as is and wilhelm is on the perimeter most of the time on O and is nonexistent on the D end. I think you just take your chances riding Walker as long as you can until he gets tired or into foul trouble.

Start: Verge Kobe Bryce Wilcher Walker Sub in: Lat Keisi/Keon (sparingly if at all) Wilhelm/Andre (sparingly) That should just be the rotation until Trey comes back. Do what Nova does and just run their starting 5 a crap ton with one prominent sub and try to even avoid sprinkling in other subs. I think that’s our best chance to win with those 5 that run the defense best.

In Doc’s defense regarding Creighton, if we would’ve focused more on the perimeter Kalkbrenner would’ve more than likely had an even better night than he did. We just need a legit defensive post presence inside

How quickly we go from liking to hating recruits on this board lol. I agree. Ben looks like a shooter, while Lloyd is more of a drive first type with his body/frame. Both are good prospects imo. Ben is definitely undervalued in the rankings.

Other than Bryce, who are those shooters? I'd think this is the biggest area of concern.

If I were Warren, I'd be on the phone with the teams that feel burned after this Texas/OU move. Primarily Mizzou and A&M. See if either would have interest in joining the B1G along with Kansas. Edit: That would require forward thinking, so forget it.

Both the McGowens mentioned in their podcast they plan on going to the draft next year so I doubt we’d see either of them after this year. I don’t know how much Bryce will want to stay in college without his bro. Strikes me as someone who wants to start developing his game immediately in the G-League. Thus, hoping for a great season for both this year.

It's definitely a recruiting violation and hence the wrist slap sanctions, but they definitely didn't receive any type of competitive advantage from what they were doing because, like you said, the assistant coach was faking taking money in exchange for fake players to help the agent out and give him some clout. It was very dumb and Creighton deserves the sanctions they got (most self imposed in the first place) but you're correct it's not like they're paying all these dudes like Will Wade and Sean Miller openly are/were. It makes for a great t-shirt in Lincoln tho haha. Reality is, no Creighton fan here in Omaha actually cares about any of this.
