  1. so I take it NU is weak against the FCP? haven't been able to actually see them this season. kinda weird that we'd be that bad against it.
  2. Freethrow shooting percentage? ha! it just seems like he's been eligible since the Ford administration.
  3. hey, D, how are you? sorry for the delay in response. I fell asleep. hee hee. When you didn't respond, I left the computer. Huskers are playing good defense tonight. sounds like it. i can't watch them anymore since I got rid of cable, so all I have is radio. hopefully we win tonight.

  5. Izzo rocks. It's why you can never count out MSU. Who wouldn't want to play for that guy?
  6. get 'em, Doc! love to see him get this gig.
  7. cal's been there, what, 3 years now? NCAA should be showing up pretty soon to ruin the party.
  8. it says much about the state of journalism when people get irritated that journalists aren't overtly propagandists for their own points of view. and this is just in sports, by far the least important application of the trade. I'll take Chatelain's occasional grenade tosses--even when he's wrong--over the fawning, imbecilic stenography of the LJS any day.
  9. man to man mixed with help man. with additional size, zone really shouldn't have to be used very often with this team. it's fine to whip that out against a superior driving team, but against everyone else, the man is preferable. too many good shooters in the B1G to be focused primarily on clogging the lane.
  10. All depends on how well we address our weaknesses: interior and point play as well as perimeter shooting. We get better there, we'll be a tough out.
  11. and the Miles coaching tree seedlings take root.
  12. So, can we get these for our living rooms? I'd like to introduce myself as, I dunno, Ghengis Khan when I sit in my chair.
  13. wow. a sitting division 1 head coach as an assistant. we have arrived.
  14. VCU, and anyone from the Big 12. Hard to believe but next year the slate is clean. We won't have anyone on the roster that played in the old conference. Excuse me, I think I got some dust in my eye.
  15. Interesting choice. Dropping down a bit in competition. Wish him well if this is his choice, though. May he rain threes on anyone in the Big 12.
  16. awful. condolences to her family and the msu family.
  17. Would also like to see Tai practice in Lincoln instead of competing in a watered down summer league. I get he's probably homesick as hell, but he has a ton of work to do in the offseason. Probably more than any other player by far. Tai needs to become a true point, and focus on ball handling and passing and maybe finding a way to average 8-10 per game. I think that's his value in D1 ball right now. I mostly just want Terran freed up from running point so he can move without the ball a lot more next season. Walt blew me away this season. Much more athletic than I thought he was, and serious upside. I thought Walt showed more learning ability than any other player. Radically different player at the end of the season than he was at the beginning. I'm already piking him as my dark horse player for next season, even over Tai who had a lot more room to improve. If he spends the summer working on rebounding and positioning, and playing with his back to the basket, he could be lethal. Can't wait to see these guys next year.
