  1. See i think his potential playing time is more dependant on Antons rehab. If Copeland is ineligible to start, you've got: PG: Watson and Allen SG: ET and Gill SF: Palmer and Nana PF: Roby and Jack C: Jordy and Duby Now add in if Copeland isnt eligible and Anton is a non factor then Thor slides in to the "two deep". If Gill bounces back, Thor could be a strong RS candidate. If Gill bounces back AND Copeland is eligible from the start he almost certainly would RS imo. Bc with IC eligible, either Jack or Roby take more minutes from the SF spot which then cause Palmer/Nana to take more minutes from SG.
  2. Nick Bahe on 1620 The Zone said his prediction is that Creighton doesnt offer, Heiman will collect some more lower tier P5 bball offers but none that will hold any advantage over Nebraska, and he expects him to become a Husker. Also he said he is 6'10 and only 196lbs. Hopefully as soon as his senior bball season is over he wont leave the weight room for the next 6 months.
  3. So does this mean Miles is no longer looking for a big shooting gaurd/wing for the '18 class
  4. So now that he is committed, what do we think? Talent scouting and projecting isnt my forte so i like to differ on these types of matters. Does anybody have a comparison of the level of competition he faced at the U18 amd U20 games (high, mid, low D1, D2, NAIA, etc)? Also, does this say alot about Gill's status? I remember in one of our earlier sunshine filled summer articles it said Gill was gonna come back "better than ever".
  5. Gonne say hes closer to 6'6 based of the photo.
  6. This would fill Miles want for a big bodied gaurd. Ideally, i would hope Gill bounces back from his injury and rehabs well. Then we could redshirt this kid and give him a chance to adapt to American life and ball. Then again, he could be a total baller which i would also be okay with.
  7. I read his name and thought it was a joke... He just visited correct? No offer yet.
  8. I would definetly take him. I dont think he'll be a star by any means, but hes tall and has a solid skill set. Im thinking a Jacob Hammond with more offensive ability and (hopefully) the luxury of a redshirt year.
  9. I still for one wouldnt mind have having either MJ or Ed.
  10. Definetly not gonna happen ever. I just wish it would. Would love for things to be more regional and to cut down on D1 teams. Seems like every year more and more schools are joining. Id like to see D1 just be P5 schools and the top of the group 5 schools.
  11. Im 99% sure that he gets to play the second semester as a junior. And would be able to play for us again as a senior the following year.
  12. A little off topic and out of the blue but im bored waiting for sports to start up again. I would like to propose realignment for the conferences that focuses on geography, blue blood, and upstart programs. -5 conferences of two eight team divisions -12 regular season games: 7 division games, 3 crossover games, 2 non conf games against the other 4 conferences -5 conference championship games. Each winner is an AQ playoff qualifier for playoffs -8 team playoff: five conf champions and three wildcards -8 additional bowl games to reward teams for good seasons ACC Atlantic: Penn State, Pitt, Navy, Maryland, Syracuse, Boston College, Rutgers, Connecticut Coastal: Virginia Tech, West Virginia, NC State, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Duke, Virginia, East Carolina Big 12 North: K State, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Colorado St, Iowa St, Kansas South: Oklahoma, Texas, OK State, TCU, Texas A&M, Baylor, Houston, Texas Tech Big Ten East: Ohio St, Michigan, Louisville, Kentucky, Michigan St, Toledo, Ohio, Cincinnati West: Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Minnesota, Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, Northern Illinois Pacific North: Washington, Oregon, Washington St, Boise St, Utah, BYU, Oregon St, Neveda South: USC, Stanford, UCLA, Arizona St, San Diego St, Arizona, Cal, Hawaii SEC East: Florida St, Clemson, Georgia, Florida, Miami, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, UCF West: Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee, Arkansas, Miss St, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt
  13. Is it only seven games??? Thats not bad at all then.
  14. Cant really blame the writers. They write what ppl want to read. The truth is there are alot of Husker football fans whose bball allegience is either: n/a (they dont like bball), with Creighton, or some random blue blood. Writing a ton of articles on a team that a lot of ppl dont care about isnt a good business model for an industry that is already dying. And its not their job to change perception or increase popularity, that responsibility falls on administration, coaches, and players.
  15. He played on the Celtics summer team. I think Atlanta took him in for training camp then cut him
  16. Good for him. He gets to experience new places and play the game he loves all while making a pretty penny.
  17. I feel like between the LJS, OWH, sports radio, social media, and this lovely website i get a lot of coverage of husker hoops. As a fanatic it never seems like enough but i think its solid coverage for a team that doesnt win much.
  18. Wait so he is eligible for the 17-18 season?
  19. I always like to assume everyone is on the team until theyre not on the team.
  20. I only listed four: 1. Hunter 2. Embery 3. Hieman 4. Agau or Wingett Just mentioned there are other possibilities also.
  21. So rn it looks like our best bet for our 5 scholarships (with a balance of realism and optimism) are: -Embery and Hunter for gaurds - I think we take Heiman -An Agau or Wingett prospect (depending on how he does at prep school) interests me. I know we have more offers out but im not sure what lvl of interest those kids hold. Plus theres still the JUCO, grad transfer, and redshirt transfer route
  22. That is insane. Hes almost got his chin on the rim
  23. Thanks for pointing that out. I just realized Nana wasnt listed either and im missing Gill.
  24. I have them all performing as the following: -Jack McVeigh 19 min 7pts 3reb -Duby Okeke 12 min 2pts 4reb 1blk -Evan Taylor 9 min 3pts 2reb 1asst -Anton Gill 0+ min 2pts 1reb So i voted Jack.
