But should Tanner be getting Dubys minutes? Not trying to over react to just one game but Duby, statistically speaking, doesnt seem to do much except block a couple of shots and commit a plethora of fouls.
I know Stetson is far from a Big Ten opponent but Duby has barely put up half the numbers TB just put up in a single game against any level of competition.
Not trying to talk down on Duby or over glorify Tanners performance against Stetson. Just posing a serious question that i would like answered by someone with more bball knowledge than myself.
Thanks.
I know Tanner will never be a superstar but how much will we regret burning his sophomore year of eligibility for like 3 min in 1 game? Hes a nice safety net to have if we strike out on our other big men recruiting targets.
Idk how anyone else felt, but following this game I was never worried about losing. It was a refreshing feeling from years past when we always seemed to have that "Here we go again..." non con game.
I would never put a loss solely on one individual so hopefully nobody takes it that way, but against Kansas they shot 8 free throws and so did we.
They made all 8 of theres and we missed two, both of which were by Palmer. Those two FTs could have been the difference between OT or maybe even a dub.
Im sure he knows that as well.
So does Kansas on a 2-game losing streak make you hopeful or worried?
Are they just down this year and beatable? Or they had a couple bad games and are gonna come out on fire against us?
Biggest turn was late in the game when Copeland missed an easy shot (would have had us up by 1 i think) and Foster goes down and hits a shot and 1 on Watson for his fourth foul.
Blame it on the refs but we still had chances to win this game just didnt take advantage.
I agree, depending on what Duby we get. Play like he did against Minny and he can help a lot. If we get '4 fouls in 5 min' Duby then... you get my point.
