  1. In an era of NET efficiency and metrics correlating to tournament births, is there a thing such as a “meaningless” bucket? Every basket, point, etc matters. To the very end.
  2. May try and make it down to Frisco.
  3. Watching a bit of the Murray St game. If you can find it, watch this crazy last minute. It’s had it all. A comeback, tech on the losing team, big turnovers and a fouled shooter up 3 from half court. This game is always why I worry fouling up 3.
  4. Oh for sure— we could get beat. Anyone can beat anyone in this conference, Minnesota included.
  5. Weird stat— this was already IU and Illinois 7th game while we sit at just 5 conference games.
  6. Highly ranked freshman who many planned to come in and have a Cinderella type season only to lose to teams like Kennesaw St and Princeton in the non-conference and are struggling in conference play. There’s just a lot of similarities.
  7. Rutgers reminds me a lot of us during the Bryce McGowens year. I’ve mentioned this multiple times and each time I watch them, I think it again.
  8. Cancer sucks man
  9. That's a bad loss for a fellow bubble team. That's also two in a row for SJSU.
  10. Maybe-- Theoretically we could win 7 games and likely not pick up another Q1 win. I don't think that would get the job done with what would be a 1-13 Q1 record. (However we'd be 7-0ish in Q2)
  11. Tomorrow is a huge game to get some momentum back. It truly is a year where I believe that we can beat anyone in the conference-- but also lose to anyone in the conference. To dance, we're going to have to be much more mentally strong than we've shown the past couple of games. We're going to have to be able to shrug off bad nights and just move on. I believe 8 more wins gets us there. We have 8 home games, 7 road games, and at least 1 BTT game. Unlike last year, we're 2-3 on the road and 2-1 at neutral site games. So there should be no "can't win away from home" stigma. We're not going to be a top dog. We're not going to win the majority of our B1G games. We've just got to move on from the last two. At the end of the day... it was two games. Rutgers is the biggest game of the year... and after that one, Maryland will be.
  12. My man was up 29 and took offense to the IU player… what? Lol
  13. Ballo would be the big post, but... as you mentioned... there were about 5 guys on the floor that could give a darn on that play.
  14. For perspective... remainder of the year tips... Rutgers- 8 PM Maryland- 11 AM USC- 8 PM Wisconsin- 12 PM Illinois- 7:30 PM Oregon- 6:30 PM Washington- 9:30 PM Ohio St- 1 PM Maryland- 7:30 PM Northwestern- 2 PM Penn St- 5:30 PM Michigan- 7 PM Minny- 1 PM Ohio St- 8 PM Iowa- 11:30 AM Hold on for these next four games which will be an EKG of ups and downs. Then we get a nice 10 game winning streak!!
  15. 6/20 boards came from two backup guards who are 6’0” and 6’4” in our last game. So you can probably answer Purdue from just that.
  16. It’s time to start asking ourselves if UCLA will make the tournament. The B1G tournament that is. Only half kidding, but losing to Rutgers drops them to 2-4 in the conference with Iowa and Wisconsin coming to town and then going to Washington and USC before ending the month with Oregon coming to town. This conference man.
  17. It’s like one of those situations where your amazing feat is being outshined by a bigger more amazing feat.
  18. At 1-4 in the conference, a loss to Butler (who has lost 9 in a row now), and just 1 Q1/Q2 win, they're going to have to show me something before they make it out of that bottom tier.
  19. Anyone know why the women's NET rankings are different for the quads. For example, A Q1 home game for the men is 1-30. A Q1 home game for the women is 1-25. Rutgers women are #126 and that would be a Q2 win for the men... but for the women it was a Q3 game.
  20. Moving up in the standings after a week like that feels dirty.
