Couple of random thoughts this morning… 1. I thought J Laws stat line and overall hustle/demeanor were good last night considering the different starting lineup. I think he’s earned that starting spot back… partly because we’ve got to move away from the starting lineup we rolled out last night. 2. The starting lineup was a good idea in theory, but we had no one athletic enough to stay with Boo on switches. We also didn’t attack the glass much considering the big lineup we rolled out. I’m ok with starting Juwan and JLaw again. 3. The press… how much of that success was due to NW being in coast mode? Not for sure. What I do know is that this team likes to play fast and it seems to really give them a boost. Wouldn’t mind starting the game regular and then when we bring in Sam and Jo off the bench, moving to the press for a bit. Especially in games where we have slow starts like last night.

Lose Saturday and the wheels may really fall off. Win Saturday and you get a week off before your next game and 13 straight days at home.

Good news is that we're 13-3 in Q2-Q4 games this year. Our remaining schedule... Michigan- Q3 PSU- Q3 @IU- Q2 Minny- Q3 @OSU- Q1 Rutgers- Q3 @Michigan- Q2 Bad news is that there isn't a lot of room to slip up here.

Good point. Travel schedule was rough on our guys for sure flying Sunday night and again Tuesday afternoon. Only one real day at home. Got a week off coming up soon. Just need to hold serve until then.

We're on here talking about how we look gassed and of the top 4 minutes played the last 2 weeks in the big 10... 3 of them belong to NW players.

Saw a NW guy post on Twitter that things aren't looking good for Berry. They were checking out his knee. Yikes.

Had it to 11... back to 16. Couldn't really afford that tonight. We're not going to be able to overcome 16 points in a little over 10 minutes.

Keisei just had a possession where Boo fouled him three or four times.

Indiana St won by 40, Providence is up on Creighton late, A&M winning, Miss St winning, Seton Hall won, Syracuse won. NCST lost though!

Yeah-- unfortunately, we're now going to be going into our "softest" stretch and we can't really avoid any slip ups. It would have been nice to play a little loose and instead we'll probably be a little tight knowing we're towing a fine line.

Man I hope so Cip. If we get it back to 8 at any point this game, I'll be excited. Your posts have pulled us through before... hopefully you saved a little bit of that magic for tonight too.

I posted this 6 days ago in the Wisconsin thread... but it still rings true today. So maybe it'll work again tonight. Posted February 1 I've said it multiple times... there is NO reason this team shouldn't dance THIS year and if we don't I won't be happy with where the program is at. Losing this one isn't going to knock us out, but it means we're going to have to be better than we have been on the road down the stretch. It doesn't get any easier Sunday either. The games we've squandered early against Rutgers and Minny are looming large the deeper into the season we go.

I don't even know what to say. Thought this one was really winnable with how we played Sunday. Maybe Sunday was more of the fluke.

Gave up 8 offensive boards. Man this team sometimes totally forgets what got us our amazing start.
