This the year where this metric takes an L. Not all four of these teams will dance. Mark it.

Very Happy to have fallen short on both of these predictions! -
uneblinst's postgame chatter: vol 16; ed 30- Rutgers

Sounds like he didn’t need “1 more beer” -
Our guards also do a great job of flashing middle and not picking up our dribbles in the corners. Even Keisei, when he feels a trap coming, will typically dribble into the lane area and then back out to set up the offense.

Results (3/4/24): SC St… yes THAT SC St has won 7/8 and sits in a tie for 2nd at 9-4 in the MEAC. There only loss in that stretch was to the #1 team Norfolk St on the road by 4 in OT. Big 10 Games None Non-Con Opponents Games SC St 61 @ Coppin St 58 Florida A&M 44 @ Southern 58 Other Bubble/Seeding Games Duke 79 @ NC ST 64 Texas 85 @ Baylor 93 Games To Watch (3/5/24): Game of the year in Big 10 conference is probably this one… on Peacock……. Smh. Sneaky good night of ball on tap tonight. KState looking to go 2-0 vs KU this year, lots of bubbly action. Quite a few teams face “can’t lose but can’t help themselves” games tonight. Will we see some upsets? I need this at a basketball or football game and have it lead into “caaaaaan you feel iiiiiiiit” to start the game. Crowd would go nuts.

Beat Michigan and win 1 in Minny and I’d be pretty confident in a 7 seed scenario. Those KPI and SOR numbers are already top 30 with KPI nearing Top 25. Predictive metrics, I think, would near the Top 30 as well with those two wins.
-
I think you forgot a 1 or 2 in front of that 30 for Northwestern. Sheesh! What an awesome start they’re having. Nice to see all of the *DNPs at the BOTTOM of them list for us. Hope it stays that way.

Black ranks 117 in the accuracy standings over the past 5 years.

I actually think his D has improved since year one. He’s never been the most athletically gifted player, but he now has a nack for being in the right place. And he, for the most part, is able to keep his guy on front of him. He doesn’t get a ton of steals (though he’s already at a career high 25 this year), he doesn’t hound guys, he’s not a menace on D. But he doesn’t have to be. Theres other guys to fill that role. He just needs to be a guy that plays sound, in the right spot, fundamental D. And he does that for the most part. He actually has a career high for rebounds too. FWIW.

Our current metrics scream 8 seed currently. Beating Michigan won’t move them a whole heck of a lot. I’m guessing our ceiling is a 6. Could maybe get to 5… but we’re out of the Top 4 seed convo for this year.

What Nebraska has meant to this years seniors
hskr4life replied to Bugeaters1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Coleman- A man who will go far in life. How do we know this? Dudes senior year went nothing like what he thought it was going to. However he kept cheering, didn’t quit the team, and has gotten numerous shout outs for being a leader. Allick- There’s always at least one post on another boards game thread that says “I wish we had a player that had that much heart (or hustle) and that sums up his time here. CJ- The ultimate glue guy. I don’t care that he’s been a little off shooting lately. He’s played a pivotal role with where we are at today. Another who could have easily transferred when his role diminished. KT- Will go down as one of an all-time favorite group. Can change a game in a heart beat. The epitome of “we’re just here for a good time, not a long time”. The only Husker in recent memory where I can remember someone hanging a Keisei Tominaga basketball t-shirt in their window. Can remember some questioning why he was on scholarship after his first year here. Now we must question how we’ll move on without him. -
Metrics Update: KPI- 27 (previous 30) SOR-31 (34) Pom- 34 (36) BPI- 37 (37) NET- 43 (43) Those aren’t the metrics of a bubble team currently.

Results (3/3/24): I really do not like that the American and Mo Valley now appear to be two bid leagues should those four teams make it to the conference finals. It's a bad recipe for teams that will be on the bubble. However, the bubble appears to be pretty weak at the moment. No one is really making a move and I believe there is still quite a bit of separation between the last four in and the last four byes & 8-9 seeds. Big 10 Games Indiana 83 @ Maryland 78 Michigan 61 @ Ohio State 84 Rutgers 56 @ Nebraska 67 Non-Con Opponents Games Rider 65 @ Canisius 61 Other Bubble Games Seton Hall 61 @ UCONN 91 Bradley 66 @ Drake 74 Murry St 77 @ Indiana St 89 UAB 87 @ Memphis 106 Games To Watch (3/4/24): Conference tournament season officially starts tomorrow! We've got one game left before we reach that point. In the strongest position we've been since No Sit Sunday. Tomorrow is pretty light. Big 10 Games None Non-Con Opponents Games SC St @ Coppin St Florida A&M @ Southern Other Bubble/Seeding Games Duke @ NC ST Texas @ Baylor

Nebraska (3-3) vs. Grand Canyon (5-2) Series Game Thread

We still need them to win… for personal reasons… but yea, they are still d**** -
Think they still play Illinois and that’s the one team who I think can go toe to toe offensively with them.
-
Dude in KSU game rolled his ankle and KSU got called for foul because he fell over.
-
Win if we play like we can. Lose if we have an off night. Agree.
-
We’re relatively safe and part of that reason is because bubble teams are just crapping themselves across the board. Take care of business tomorrow men. Other teams haven’t.
-
With Iowa’s win and NW playing at Michigan St this week, a win tomorrow would put the Huskers firmly in the hunt for a 3 seed.

Sallie with just 11/5 today and Wake may drop out after losing to Va Tech.
