  1. It probably also helps too that you can go back and see that Fred truly does play the hot hand. So coming off the bench doesn't automatically assume you're getting less than starters minutes. How many times did JLaw play a ton of minutes off the bench late or how many times did KT ride the bench on his off nights for extended periods of time. I think Fred does a really good job of not getting caught up in how many minutes a guy has or hasn't played and rides who is hot more often than not.
  2. We also have to trust that Fred knows what he’s looking for now. He’s got the formula to the secret sauce that works for him. I don’t think he’d go away from that just to get more athletic. I’m going to go out on a limb and say Fred was completely transparent and honest with what he expected and envisioned for each player we’ve recruited. I would hope, much like Boogie, that each player took that to heart before committing and they know that we expect ‘we over me’.
  3. I mean— he played 7 MPG last year. I’d venture to say we can offer more than that off the bench, so next exactly parallel move— even though he might still be projected to come off the bench.
  4. I wouldn’t necessarily call a multiple year starting PG at Utah, a former top 25 SG, and a big man who we beat another B1G team (who was closer to home than us) underwhelming. Especially when we’ve basically upgraded/equaled out each position we’ve lost. Lawrence - Woosley Diop/Keita - Morgan Rice/Tominaga - Griffiths and we still have 3 ships to fill.
  5. Dude is an absolute legend and his fame continues to grow!
  6. It’s been too long since we’ve had a “real” rock bottom thread. LOL
  7. Biggest Fear #204748- We get torched by a former player in a game that matters. Best of luck to Eli. Hope he finds a solid role and scores 15 PPG except against us.
  8. This Auburn writer thinks so. Or maybe even hopes so? Lol! https://flywareagle.com/posts/rumor-nebraska-booted-big-ten-aau-accreditation
  9. Does this allow in season transfers at any time?
  10. Did it hint on Payne not visiting meaning good things with Kyle or just that we/he is no longer interested?
  11. 1. Kyle (but will take Payne) 2. Igor 3. transfer guard with a speciality. I don’t care whether it’s getting to the hoop or knocking down 3s at a 40% clip. I want them to have a speciality they are confident in and know their role. 4. Leave open until at least players who declared for draft decide whether they’re in or out. There’s usually a little mini rush on the market once this happens as players you thought might stay/be gone do the opposite.
  12. Im taking this as a “we had bigger fish to fry” type scenario?
  13. Just another gut punch. Wouldn't worry about hosting-- I'd just worry about playing well enough to actually make the post season with the way things are going at this point in time.
  14. I just don't get it. Were we just not as good as it looked earlier in the year? This should not be happening. Mid-week struggles are going to kill us again this year.
  15. Could almost wrap up a masters in two years as well.
  16. I was actually referring to Banton and Fred helping him take the next step and realizing his potential.
  17. Similar to another early Fred player who happened to get drafted and now is playing meaningful minutes in the league?
  18. Someone sent me this— appears KT is engaged!
  19. Or Wisconsin dropped a bag to make him consider transferring at all? All signs pointed to him possibly going back to UNO it sounded like.
