  1. I would think so. Texas isn't even relevant any more. At Arizona, Sai would be Rondae Jefferson and Aaron gordon's backup. And playing for a legit Final Four contender... He could've done that at Michigan. He said he wanted to go to a program where he would have a bigger impact
  2. I was on the road yesterday. Just saw that Pitt is in contention now? That's not good for Nebraska. My Defcon rating for the Tummala recruitment is a 2, which means the next step is nuclear war. Given that Nebraska doesn't have any nukes, I'm not sure what we'll do if we go to Defcon 1. According to My Dad's AARP Pittsburgh has one of the best Hospitals in the U.S., Allegheny General Polish Rifle posted this earlier in the thread: US News ranks UNMC #6 for Primary Care http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-medical-schools/primary-care-rankings?int=85a732

  6. So, Pelini's first four recruiting classes don't count? What are you talking about? This year's draft class wasn't Pelini's "first four classes"... This isn't Kentucky bball where the players are recruited to only stay one season in college... He said this class didn't count because it was in shambles when Pelini got here and that having only two players drafted this year isn't an indication of the players being brought in now. But what about the average players in the four classes between the first one and the players now? He conveniently ignored them. I understood Vinny's post to mean that since Pelini coached LSU in the national championship game, which was in January, that gave him very little time to build relationships with quality recruits before signing day. I'm pretty sure most people would agree that the #1 part of recruiting is building relationships (if you are not a basketball blue blood like Kansas, Duke, North Carolina, Kentucky, etc...) and Pelini had little time to do that. I understood Vinny's post to mean that we should not judge Pelini's recruiting by this first class. By the way, Pelini's first four recruiting classes include a bunch of guys that have a good shot to get drafted by the time they are done at Nebraska: Taylor Martinez (maybe not at QB, but he is a dynamic enough player that he will probably get a shot at some position) Kenny Bell Jason Ankrah Quincy Enunwa Ciante Evans Harvey Jackson Charles Jackson Corey Cooper Stanley Jean-Baptiste Mohammed Seisay Jonathan Rose David Santos Jammal Turner Ameer Abdullah A handful of OL will likely get a look as well... In addition to players in Pelini's first four recruiting classes that have already been drafted: Brandon Kinnie Dejon Gomes Lavonte David Rex Burkhead Damion Stafford

  10. I think part of the reason for that could be that the club seats and lodge boxes probably aren't noticible in alot of the picturers. They are kind've tucked away to provide a more private setting. There are 36 suites and they each account for 12 tickets, which totals 432. There are 20 lodge boxes and they each account for 4 tickets, which totals 80. So, Suites + Lodge Boxes = 512 seats. The 36 suites and 19 of 20 loge boxes have been leased out by Ben Wrigley with Legends Hospitality Management. "Looking back at the original timeline, we're probably on par with where we thought things would be," he said. The loge boxes, described as modern-day opera boxes, go for $20,000 per year in five, seven or 10-year terms and include four seats with a counter, refrigerator and flat-screen TV. Loge box owners share a lounge and private bathrooms on the same level with suite owners and have parking in the adjacent garage. The suites, which lease for $45,000 to $65,000 per year and come with tickets for 12 people, have been leased to 30 individuals or businesses for private use. 11. Nebraska will be the first school in the Big Ten Conference to feature an HD (6 mm) center hung video board for its basketball games. There will also be ribbon boards, stat boards, a state of the art sound system and many new fan amenities to enjoy Link: http://www.huskers.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=100&ATCLID=205383810

  13. Who is he not returning calls to? Just robin? Miles? Everyone? Not sure. He didn't say. Hopefully everyone
  14. Robin Washut was just on 93.7 The Ticket and said: Tummala isn’t returning calls or responding to texts Hasn’t heard anything about Tummala’s visit to Miami (OH) His gut tells him that it is between Nebraska and ASU Thinks Nebraska is in a good spot
  15. Yeah, me too. When were his visits scheduled for? Already visited ASU. Visiting Miami OH right now. We might know something by Monday. Really, really, really want Tummala at Nebraska!
  16. Yeah, me too. When were his visits scheduled for?
  17. I agree. And he will not have the luxury of being the unquestionably best player in his conference next season. Although I would've liked to see him leave, because then Nebraska would have had a much better chance to beat Creighton next season...I am very excited to see how an athletic freak like Pitchford handles being matched up on him for some possessions, because athleticism is not McDermott's game. It will be interesting to see how Nebraska guards him next season. I'm sure Petteway, Rivers, Pitchford, and Shields will all get a crack at him.
  18. Obviously, conference games are more important when it comes to RPI, conference tournament seeding, and NCAA tourney implications. The Nebraska vs Creighton game is all about bragging rights and local media perception. Creighton and Nebraska also have to go head to head for in state recruits. Nebraska also has more history with Creighton than any team in the Big Ten. If your statement is true, then it's interesting to me that any topic about Creighton seems to strike the nerve that it does...
  19. Nebraska has more head to head game history with Creighton than they do with any team in the Big Ten. Not to mention the fact that the two universities are an hour away from eachother. I would also imagine that more people posting on this website have more friends and/or coworkers that are fans of Creighton than are fans of Big Ten teams (unless you live outside of the state). If a 2-time All American decides to return to Creighton for his senior season, that has a direct impact on Nebraska and/or the in-state bragging rights for a year. Nebraska and Creighton are the two teams fighting for "King of the hill" status in the state of Nebraska. What happens with one team directly affects the other, as they play eachother on an annual basis in a game that is the biggest (and only major) in-state matchup for both schools. People have no more reason to to get mad about this topic than the threads about other Big Ten players leaving early, or coaching changes at other Big Ten schools, or any other school. Trust me, I hate Creighton just as much, if not more than any poster on this board, but it is ridiculous to pile on someone for starting this topic. By the way, If people are all bent out of shape that someone posted about a player returning to Creighton for his senior season, then it would make sense that a topic about Kansas will receive the same response, so I will be waiting to see if that happens, or if there is another double standard. I'm not bothered in any way about any of these topics, but if people are going to be ridiculous about one topic, it's only fair that they be ridiculous about all similar topics...

  23. I would be satisfied if Nebraska signed a Center like Kimani Ffriend every couple of seasons. (Yes I know that he is from Jamaica and he was only at Nebraska for two seasons, so this is not exactly what you were asking for). In my opinion, he has been the most exciting Nebraska Center to watch in the last 10-15 seasons.
