  1. Wow! Kenya freaking Hunter! I'm pretty sure that he was the lead recruiter for Moses Ayegba, Glynn Watson, Andrew White III, and Ed Morrow. Tim Miles/Eichorst had to write a big check in order for Nebraska to steal him from Georgetown...and so far it looks like it was worth every penny. Eichorst needs to give this entire bball staff a raise, because they are hitting homerun after homerun after homerun.
  2. #BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!! Over the last month or so...Nebraska has landed 3 players that were ranked 4-Star Rivals150 players coming out of high school. Ed Morrow, Glynn Watson, and Andrew White III... Not bad when you consider that Moses Ayegba was also ranked 4-Star Rivals150 when he committed to Georgetown coming out of high school. How big was the addition of Kenya Hunter to this staff? Tim Miles and Kenya Hunter can recruit both transfers and elite high school talent! I have been slightly worried that Nebraska might fall off a little bit after Petteway, Pitchford, and Shields graduate...but it's safe to say that with the addition of Ed Morrow, Glynn Watson, and Andrew White III...Nebraska isn't going anywhere!!!
  3. Check out the video that is linked in this tweet. I'm not sure if it has posted yet.
  4. Not so sure about that, season tickets were sold out last year and they are again this year. If anything the number of tickets available will remain unchanged. The only tickets available to the general public via the ticket office will be turn backs from visiting teams, so it should only be at most a few dozen tickets available through the ticket office for each game and probably only then will be made available shortly before game time. Now, the secondary market is a different story... Guys, you are reading "sold out Pinnacle Bank Arena" and thinking that means that we have 15,000 season ticket holders. That is simply not the case - at least last year (it's harder to predict this season). Last year, they received commitments for season tickets from a large number of Husker fans, but quite a few backed off when given the bill in August/September. In addition to that, they held back a number of tickets - well over 1,000 - for single game tickets that they never offered as season tickets in the first place. Even though it was quoted often, it was really not true to call PBA "sold out all season" or whatever I kept hearing. Am I the only one who noticed the empty sections of the 300 level in the exact same spots every game (except FGCU, Wisconsin, and 1-2 others)? Those were not season tickets. They were single game tickets available to be bought, but not sold.I do think that the scenario you are describing will be much closer to the truth this year. This season, when I renewed my 100 level season tickets I had to pay for the tickets and the donation...So any of the tickets that are "sold" have also been paid for. There is also 1,300 people on the waiting list. Also, don't forget that last season Nebraska was picked to finish last in the Big Ten. There wasn't any hype around the team, so alot of fans probably weren't getting swept up in the excitement. This season, Nebraska returns everyone from the team last year. The Huskers are ranked in the top-25 in most lists and are picked as high as 2nd in the Big Ten. There is more hype around this team than I can ever remember (including the national media). People can't even stop talking about Nebraska basketball in the middle of football season. PBA will be full this season.
  5. Now that Nebraska has landed White, Watson, and Jacobson...that means they have 2 more spots to fill (assuming that Smith isn't granted an extra season of eligibility). Morrow will likely commit the weekend of his visit for the Nebraska vs Miami game. That will leave Nebrasks with 1 more open spot (assuming no additional attrition).
  6. Bleujay, your blue goggles are for your other message board... Spin Creighton's new league however you want, but the newBigEast is nothing more than a glorified midmajor...It is a step up from the MVC, but that's an indictment of the Missouri Valley, not a testament to the quality of the newBigEast. The only thing "BigEast" about the newBigEast is the name. This season was the first Sweet 16 without a "BigEast" team since 1992-1993... Requiem For The BigEast
  7. Here is an article from Gary Parrish: Illinois point guard Tracy Abrams suffered a torn ACL in his right knee during a preseason workout and will miss the entire 2014-15 season, the school announced Thursday. "Tracy worked hard in the offseason to put himself in great position heading into his senior year, so he's obviously disappointed, and we are for him as well," said Illinois coach John Groce. "But Tracy personifies toughness; he has the heart of a champion, and I know that he will only come back stronger from this experience when he returns to the court next year. In the meantime, he will continue to play a vital role for our program with his leadership." Abrams will use a medical redshirt this season, meaning the 6-foot-2 Chicago native is expected to again play for the Illini in the 2015-16 season. He averaged 10.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game last season. Oregon State transfer Ahmad Starks will likely replace Abrams in the starting lineup. Starks averaged 10.4 points per game two seasons ago for the Beavers. http://mweb.cbssports.com/ncaab/eye-on-college-basketball/24705556/illinois-point-guard-tracy-abrams-to-miss-season-with-torn-acl?v=1&vc=1
  8. I wonder if Nebraska would go after both Herard and Benson in the 2016 class.
  9. I would think that if Nebraska gets both Watson and Morrow that would not hurt their chances to at least get a visit from Benson.
  10. If you want to see Morrow's outside shot Norm just watch the high school playoff game where he faces off against Jahlil Okafor. A link to the game is posted just above the MaxPreps highlights. Ed takes Okafor outside and buries a number of shots from 15-18 feet. I don't think he missed a shot all night. Very smooth. Do you have a link for this game?
  11. Baptiste in the 2015 class would be an excellent connection to have for Herrard in the 2016 class.
  12. Some people think Glynn Watson will be a 4-year starter for Nebraska. I have also heard many people say that Tarrin Smith has a good shot at starting this season as a freshman. So with Watson and Smith battling eachother for the #1 and #2 PG spots...it will be interesting to see what Benny Parker does. Will he stick around? Will there be enough minutes to go around at the PG spot? Especially when you consider that, even though the speculation is that Webster will be moving to the SG spot, he is more than capable of playing PG for a few minutes each game, if the other guys need a breather, or are in foul trouble. I'm not sure that Nebraska needs 3.5 PGs on the roster at this point... Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
  13. It looks like his preference to play in the B1G was the deciding factor. Good pickup for NU. I wish he would have waited to make a decision until after he visited Creighton's campus. NU solidly won this recruiting battle.There. Is that inflammatory enough for your caricature of the average CU fan? Just the 'average doubledouche CU' fans that start an account to troll on a husker message board...They somehow seem to rarely stop by when Nebraska gets great news like this. So maybe that says something that I'm here seeing what you all have to say...? Yeah, you're right. The fact that you are a Creighton basketball fan, but created an account on a Nebraska basketball fansite does say something about you...
  14. I thought this post by LSEHusker deserved to have its own thread: "The Cornhuskers' top point guard target, four-star Watson pushes Nebraska to No. 21 in the 2015 247Sports Composite Team Rankings and No. 5 in the 247Sports Composite Big Ten Team Rankings." http://247sports.com/Season/2015-Basketball/CompositeTeamRankings
