  1. I think Arizona might be out of scholarships now. If so, I think John Egbunu was planning on taking a visit there. I wonder if that changes things for him. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-John-Egbunu-137603
  2. I agree. Nebraska's on court success this season happened too late to really have a serious impact on the 2014 class, because many recruits were already signed or already had their lists narrowed down. I believe Nebraska will see the benefits in the 2015 recruiting class.
  3. Also, keep in mind, that in Nebraska's system, two of Nebraska's Big Three make their living predominantly by taking the ball to the rack and either finishing at the rim, or getting to the free throw line. I doubt every PF that Nebraska goes after is going to be able to stroke it from outside the way that Pitchford does...but while they are less effective than Pitchford from outside of the arc, they may me more effective in the post. Also, I would imagine that Miles and the rest of this coaching staff can work on that part of his game with him, if he comes to Nebraska. His "game away from the basket" is something that can be taught/developed with good coaching...but the athleticism that Morrow has can't be taught..
  4. Dude, I don't know what film you've been watching or what recruiting analysts you've been listening to, but they are different from the ones that I have.Morrow is a stud. Also note that as a junior he held his own vs Jahlil Okafor. He has been playing vs top notch talent. While there is some adjustment for any highschool player when they get to college, it should not take him nearly as long as most. It's not a situation like Agau, where he was playing Nebraska high school basketball, so his adjustment period to play big time college basketball takes years...
  5. I feel your pain losing Deng...but be patient for 1 more season. This season: -Nebraska returns Big Ten Coach of the year -National coach of the year -Big Ten scoring leader -95% of their offensive production -while adding a shooter (Fuller) -a rim protector/shot blocker (Ayegba) -Nebraska is being ranked in the preseason top-25 in multiple national polls -BTN analysts are picking Nebraska at #2 preseason in the Big Ten -Nebraska is primed to make some serious noise on the court next season All of these things will benefit Nebraska's 2015 recruiting class. Nebraska is currently the heavy favorite for 2015 PF Ed Morrow. Nebraska is in a good position with 4-5 Rivals150 players...and that list will likely grow, if Nebraska has the type of season that most analysts are projecting. (Ed Morrow and Markis McDuffie are probably the prospects that Nebraska has the best shot of landing). There is a good chance that Ed Morrow is the headliner of Nebraska's 2015 class...and, in my opinion, he has the ability to make a more immediate impact than any of the prospects that Nebraska has missed out on over he last 2 recruiting classes...and Morrow's ceiling seems to be higher than any of those that Nebraska has missed out on in the last 2 recruiting classes as well. Nebraska is set to make some noise on the prime time stage this season. Wait to judge the recruiting until the 2015 class is locked in place...
  6. We have 4 whether or not the grad transfer from Cal comes here. Now if we gave that scholarship to someone else who would be here longer than a year we could go down to 3 available, but we currently have 4 whether or not Krecklow comes here.I guess I am assuming that Nebraska will fill their 2 currently open scholarships in the 2014 class. If they leave both of those open then they already have 5 available scholarships in the 2015 class, with a possibility of 6 available scholarships, if Petteway were to head to the NBA early after next season. Again, you are right...but I guess I am just assuming that Nebraska will try to fill both of their currently available scholarships.
  7. I was thinking the exact same thing. On one hand that kind've sucks to lose someone that committed to Nebraska, but it actually really doesn't bother me. Nebraska is in on better players in the 2015 class. Nebraska currently has 3 scholarships for the 2015 class. If Nebraska can land the grad-transfer from Cal, then they will have 4 available scholarships. If Petteway goes to the NBA after next season, then Nebraska will have 5 available scholarships. In my opinion, Nebraska would be better off with Markis McDuffie at the 3-spot. And, in my opinion, Nebraska would be better off filling out their 2015 class with Ed Morrow & Markis McDuffie...with a shot at landing players like Josh Reaves, Kevin Dorsey, and/or DeShawn Freeman...maybe Nebraska would even be an attractive option for another grad-transfer center...especially if Ayegba has a good season... Sucks to lose any commit, but I'm really not too worried about Nebraska being able to land an equal or greater talent to replace him.
  8. Both 2013 class. Both solid players. Darius Thompson was rivals150. If Nebraska isnt able to land Cornish and/or another grad transfer, then I would think that both of these guys would be welcome at Nebraska...http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Darius-Thompson-142822 http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-A.J.-Davis-119300 http://www.utsports.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/tenn-m-baskbl-mtt.html
  9. I see him as a 2. Much like Petteway. But that's just me.

  11. Although i am very disappointed that Iowa got the matchup vs UNC, rather than Nebraska... This will be a very good game. Both teams return most of their team from this last season. In my opinion, both teams will end the season in the rpi top50. So it's a chance for Nebraska to get an early resumé building win. I agree that Nebraska has a very good chance at a home game vs a powerhouse the following season.
  12. After his visit, though, Deng said Nebraska would definitely be tough to beat. "Nebraska's always been one of my favorites, but I'll know for sure after I go to LSU," Deng said. "But Nebraska is one of the top schools on my list right now. I'm really looking forward to coming here, but I've got to go compare and contrast with some other schools, you know? But it's one of my top schools now." This sentence stuck out to me a little bit...maybe I'm being dumb, or reading too much into this, but...: "I'm really looking forward to coming here, but I've got to go compare and contrast with some other schools, you know?" https://nebraska.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1636785
  13. I don't know that it matters much which one is on the roster as a 3 and which one is listed as a 4...I think in this system, the 3 and 4 will have fairly similar skillsets. The reason I put Deng at the 4-spot and Fuller at the 3-Spot is simply because I think Deng is currently a better rebounder, but like I've said before, I think the 2, 3, and 4 spots should all be looked at basically as wing-type players. With the 2 being the strongest shooter of them and the 4 being the strongest rebounder of them, but for the most part, those positions seem to be very similar in this system.
  14. Fuller? I think he will play the 3-spot: Starting: 3- Shields Off the bench: 3-Fuller
  15. It would be huge for Nebraska if Deng Deng could come off of the bench for Pitchford at the 4-Spot. It would be legit if Nebraska's lineup down low next season was: Starting: 4- Pitchford 5- Ayegba Off the bench: 4- Deng, Rivers 5- Smith
  16. Deng Deng : @DengDeng19 Jordan Cornish : @JordanCornish5_ Stephen Domingo : @sdomingo31 Deshawn Freeman : @Cant_Guard33 Markis McDuffie : @MarkisMcDuffie1 Josh Reaves : @jreaves_23 Kevin Dorsey : @kevvv____
