  1. much much easier to find a guard or a wing that can give you emergency minutes than a big guy, but we must get someone even if he can only rebound. Find the best rebounder on the market and get him.
  2. Not directly, but the importance of getting better teams than that can be made known and there sure as hell are far better teams than that which would jump at the chance to get two buy games against these four clubs.
  3. Damn. Mississippi valley is horrible to play. As long as the committee has their heads up their ass using rpi, we can’t have our heads up ours and play that kind of team.
  4. We need to start recruiting bigs that are good shooters or quick jumpers. Stretch guys or Capella type guys. Miles don'y coach the plotting big men well so play to our strengths.
  5. yep, we need to get a guy that can rebound and check a big man. offensive skill not a requirement
  6. We really need to get that Vandy kid in here. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and we need a body desperately.
  7. Didn’t know gebbia moved like an Alex smith. If he can, I see him being a good fit potentially.
  8. Very comfortable in the pick and roll. Would like to see some of that with Roby when he is in the game. Great passer out of the pick and roll and good first step. Doesn't elevate to finish as well as I would hope. Doesn't shoot as well as I would hope. Shot looks kind of flat to me. Jury still out for me.
  9. And quit taking so many long two's as well Glynn.
  10. A lot of it had to do with the ridiculous job by Barry Collier and the NIT selection folks. Their ineptitude put us in a situation on the road against a good team that we never should have been in.
  11. Seems like a dump place for Boogie to go to rebuild his value as well. Some teams overpay for stats, which will not be there in GS.
  12. Then add Lance Stephenson to the mix, lol.
  13. Palmer should be told to shorten and simplify his stroke. Even on free throws there are a few too many moving parts. Probably not something that was adviised but I would like to see is being an even better rebounder. He should be able to grab about 7 a game and we need them if we are going small. With Copeland it would seem he would need to work on that 3 point shot. He is going to have to be great at that to be in the league. Then he needs to work on a dribble drive game IMO and lateral quickness to beat the hard close outs. He also would be well served to be hungry to rebound.
  14. Magic is doing well so far. I mistakingly thought he was the one that brought Deng and Mozgov to town with absolutely disaster contracts. Not ideal giving up a number 3 overall pick for nothing but Magic thought it was needed to lose the Mozgov deal. He should't have had to clean up that mess. It is a really easy place to be a president of basketball operations, but he is doing it well so far. You have to open up room for superstars who covet playing there. He is doing that. Now he just has to not mangle the next two superstars. Would be really dumb to give up anything of substance for Kawhi.
  15. NBA has a funny way of stars ending up together quickly, so you never know. With George not coming, you are likely right though. Magic don't have much of a clue though either.
  16. Grant Gibbs even thinks he needs to call it a day already.
  17. He sure does look the part.
  18. Far too early to tell and that simply may not be true. If they succeed they get to the far more lucrative contract a year younger(which can help get said lucrative contract). If they got hurt bad next year it is s gain as well.
  19. Just about had that game out of my mind but it is the gift that keeps on giving. I still cannot believe what happened in the last three seconds.
  20. He might think that Miles leaves for another job if we do well and Miles is fired if we do poorly. That scenario possible but I would not use the word certainly by any means.
  21. Brutal that this is on a Sunday. Was so looking forward to going to this and now cannot go on a Sunday that time of year.
  22. Agree with this and the main reason is that he may be most equipped to play defense and we shouldn’t need major scoring out of this position.
  23. Yes, I can go with that on the serious minutes part. But as thin as we are at 4-5 it wouldn’t take much to go wrong. I also probably value a guy that can stretch the floor over a Borchardt. Just a more skilled player and I am about getting the best guys on the court over defined positions.
