  1. Here's your chance for redemption, Lat.
  2. I said earlier he gets away with assault every possession. Just pisses me off the preferential treatment for the thug.
  3. Illegal screen. The fix is in.
  4. Another not called on Liddell. Over the back.
  5. Should've been a foul on Liddell. He shoved him before the block.
  6. The latter 2 are usually really bad. Skin-head Lurch actually hasn't been that bad tonight, though.
  7. Well, I'll be. They called a foul on Liddell.
  8. At best, a T for each team, I would think. They've got to give one for the guy off the bench.
  9. Arrrrrrgh. Get a darn rebound.
  10. I cannot believe they called a foul on Andre there. Absolute horse crap. If anything, it was on the thug Liddell for holding Andre's arm. Liddell gets a way with aggravated assault on most possessions.
  11. Nebraska never, ever, ever gets a call when they drive to the basket. It's almost automatic when the tables are turned, though.
  12. Just great. Skinhead Lurch is once again in the zebra suit. Look for a crucial call or two to thwart the Huskers. I don't understand why Nebraska gets stuck with that d-bag for so many games. He's like the stubborn piece of dog excrement you just can't get off your shoe.
  13. I agree. The bracket sets up very well for Nebraska on paper and the win over NW for the 6-seed was huge. Out of the teams playing day one, Wisconsin or Illinois would be my top 2 choices to face (Illinois preferred, of course ). PSU obviously just beat NU and playing in a typical Rutgers scrum is not good for anyone involved. If they win the first game, Michigan is probably the best match-up in the semis. If Brown is hurt that certainly helps, but I don't think there's much chance that Michigan plays as poorly as they did in the first match-up. Not saying Nebraska didn't play well, but Michigan really stunk up the joint in that game. If they somehow got to face Iowegia again, it'd be really interesting to see how the game would play out if they didn't shoot 62% OR get a 4 to 1 discrepancy in fouls. Clark would get her points - Nebraska simply has no answer for her and her chicken-wings (most teams don't), and you know the Three Stooges won't call anything on her. Would need to find a way to neutralize the other players (Czinano with 30+ in 2nd game and the other girl who made 7 of 9 3's in the first game).
  14. Spot on. He is a way-above-average rim protector and his offense and rebounding had steadily improved during his first couple of seasons. Losing him was a huge blow to their prospects this season.

  16. I've watched them play a couple of times. Yvan is still pretty much the same player we saw here. He plays hard, hustles and does an OK job rebounding but, as you said, he just has extremely limited offensive ability. He seems to have very poor ball-handling skills (primarily when shooting) and I'm not referring to the obvious lack of skill in dribbling. Maybe 'ball-holding' would be a better adjective to use - he doesn't seem to have a feel for controlling the ball in his hands. I don't know if it was ever discussed on the board, but I've always wondered if he has small hands for a big guy. Most big guys have monster paws which engulf the ball like a grapefruit. While that can make it somewhat difficult to shoot a silky looking jumper or free-throw without a lot of work, they can generally use that ability to protect and direct the ball going up for a shot under the basket. We saw it here regularly - Yvan never seemed to be able control/hold the ball when taking the ball up near the basket and from the limited sample size I've seen at GC, he hasn't improved a whole lot.
