Definitely a glutton for punishment if not a babbling idiot.

You're correct, of course, but thankfully she was subpar against Crayton the other day and thus the Iowegians are no longer in the tournament.

This comment brought back bad memories for me, having lived in North Carolina for almost 30 years now and despising the Tar Holes of UNC. They hadn't had a particularly great year and most thought they were firmly on the wrong side of the bubble (might have been one of the years when Matt Doherty was coaching). I was at the ACC tournament and they lost their first game so there was no way they would get in The Dance. I was outside the arena waiting to go in for the next session of games and as the dejected Tar Hole fans left the building all the fans of every other team standing outside were chanting "NIT, NIT, NIT." It was glorious - more fun than actually watching the games that were later that day. Of course, the crooked NCAA couldn't leave their darling Tar Holes out of the tournament, so they were one of the last in with a fairly low seed. The bastards then proceeded to make a run in the tournament at least to the Elite 8 and maybe the Final Four, can't remember for sure. It was like a kick to the crotch. To understand the hatred of non-UNC fans toward the massive UNC b-ball fan base, it needs to be clarified that the UNC b-ball fan base is one of the most insufferable fan bases around, but they aren't really mean-spirited or nasty about it, they just know they're team is generally better and you really can't argue with them about it. It would be better if most of them were jerks about it, much like the Duke b-ball fan base is (they truly are a bunch of jackwagons).

Had to chuckle at this pathetic whining from Blunder in the ESPaN article: https://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/story/_/id/33558576/women-ncaa-tournament-2022-how-creighton-bluejays-upset-iowa-hawkeyes-caitlin-clark Blunder was less pleased with the officiating, although she credited how well the Bluejays played. "I do believe that that game was called differently than what we've seen all year, and I really think that's unfortunate," Blunder said. "We average going to the free throw line 18 times; we go eight tonight. We averaged 34 fouls being called in [our games]; 22 were called tonight. It's pretty frustrating when an NCAA championship game is called completely different than the 30 games that prepared you for this point, and that is very frustrating." Yeah, it's really unfortunate when they finally call the game fairly and your once-in-a-lifetime star player, who initiates contact on every drive to the basket and gets the whistle whether there is a foul or not, doesn't get the phantom fouls called. And its really unfortunate that you're such a subpar coach that you and your team of whiners can't adjust to not having every call go your way. What a bunch of babies.

'Tis true, but it's obviously a whole 'nother tier of bad in the women's game.
-
I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. Since when can the bench challenge a call? Officiating in the women's game is so bad, so inconsistent.

Hillmon gets away with a lot because of her star status.

One heckuva bubble team there, huh, Kim Barnes-Orico? Sorry ass hack.

Great job by Trey M. I think he got in Branham's noggin and forced him out of his game. Still scored 16, but that's a far cry from 35. -

I said earlier he gets away with assault every possession. Just pisses me off the preferential treatment for the thug. -

Should've been a foul on Liddell. He shoved him before the block. -

The latter 2 are usually really bad. Skin-head Lurch actually hasn't been that bad tonight, though. -

At best, a T for each team, I would think. They've got to give one for the guy off the bench. -

I cannot believe they called a foul on Andre there. Absolute horse crap. If anything, it was on the thug Liddell for holding Andre's arm. Liddell gets a way with aggravated assault on most possessions.
