Way to go! Unfortunately, not your jinx but a late addition of 1 part incompetent officiating and 2 parts Nebrastketball to the home-cooked, B1G anti-Nebraska casserole sealed the deal once again. Kind of glad I had no way to watch the women's game. Sounded like some seriously ugly ball on the radio broadcast. Glad they got the win with the terrible shooting.

Amen. Horrible, horrible call. Whistle was pre-determined because, how can the great Hunter Dickinson get a shot blocked by someone 6 feet tall? -

Bald-headed Lurch with the assist and save. That worthless POS is one of the worst 5 officials in the game. I knew he could be counted on to bail them out. His mind was made up that he would blow the whistle the second Dickweasel touched the ball. 10 feet in front of him with a clear line of sight and he f's up the call on one of the cleanest blocks you'll ever see. Get the ball there with a chance to go up 9 or 10. Instead it's a 3-point game that you know Nebraska will choke away. -

Has there been any discussion/information on Haiby's injury and potential return to action? I'm sure most of you saw she couldn't lift her arm even a few inches on the sideline after it happened. Obviously just speculation, but having had shoulder issues before that made it near impossible to life my arm, recovery usually was measured in weeks (without proper rehab and trainer support, of course). Can't afford to have her out of action for very long. Thankfully, at least on paper, the schedule eases up a bit for the next few games (if they can actually play them).

Nebraska had plenty of fouls, no doubt, and a bunch were stupid. But, many other calls were not fouls or called the same way on both ends. Clark got at least 2 calls at the hoop where she initiated all the contact and the defender didn't do anything. The one called on Coley was ridiculous - Coley was bailing and Clark smacked Coley in the head. Czinano simply fell over once and got a call. Nebraska basically got no contact fouls at the hoop. The offensive foul on Weidner, Clark gets away with the entire game. Her off-ball arm is extended almost every time she makes a move and once the defender is moving, all it takes is a little nudge to get them off balance. Honestly, you could make that call on most ball handlers at any time. That's why the call on Weidner can't be made because it hasn't been called the other 38 minutes. This game was 5 on 8 from the start of the 2nd quarter on.

1 foul in the first half. Nothing more needs to be said. It is nearly impossible to win when it's 5 versus 8.

Hell yeah!! That was awesome! Totally mopped the floor with that sorry bunch from Ann Arbor. Miss All-Everything, Hillmon, was absolutely atrocious. She was totally outplayed and schooled by a freshman tonight. I know I'll probably get roasted for this, but I don't care: I absolutely love seeing Leigha Brown fail miserably. She's a quitter, and a whiney one at that. Michigan's guard play was terrible - basically no threat offensively from any of them. A healthy Dilk playing more minutes would certainly help their cause. That pathetic loss to MSU stings quite a bit more knowing they can play like this. Give half the effort they showed tonight and they easily win in East Lansing.

Seems like they haven't had the handshake in the few games I've watched.

Good to see The Three Stooges calling it even once again. Why is Naz Hillman allowed to lean on and repeatedly shove who she's guarding at the top of the key? That's a rhetorical question, of course. Then she holds on the inbounds play. Must be nice to be the queen.

Don't shoot well (from every level), only play defense on every other possession, exert zero effort on rebounding and generally look like you're running in mud most of the game - probably going to lose. This was a bad loss, but probably the worst they've played all year - hopefully this was a low point as far as effort goes. Still 12-1 (1-1). Learn from this crapfest and obviously a very good season is still out there for them.

You didn't really expect the officiating to be OK 2 games in a row, did you?

NC State is my 2nd favorite team/school, having attended grad school there. Still live in NC and watch them quite often. No need to wonder, they just aren't very good. They're a lower third ACC team capable of an occasional upset but more often likely to lose or play down to a lesser opponent. IMO, the relative rankings for them and Nebraska are probably about right. That being said, they did lose their big rim protecting, shot-blocking machine Bates early in the season. With him playing, I don't think Nebraska even sniffs OT, they probably have a couple of more wins right now and might be middle-of-the-pack ACC quality.

Yeah, I think that same crew does about every women's game at PBA.
