Thanks for the link, Huskerpapa. Sam has now become my favorite Husker, maybe of this century. The cip family is all too familiar with hemoglobin levels.

I'm assuming Fred's bank account will let him step away tomorrow and not have to take another job. I know what he meant, and my gut tells me he'll be our head coach next year. Many positive things will happen this season. Not sure if they translate into W's, but they will occur.

I remember the Moe Iba days when both teams would score in the 50s. -
What do you suppose Hoiberg's (unwritten) metric was?

I wasn't joking. I'm guessing you aren't either. Does your wife know?

No need to worry about Urban sprawl. While driving east on I 80 Tuesday morning, just past the 56th street exit, I passed an SUV with personalized plates that read STOOPS1. They weren't Nebraska plates. Couldn't tell the state. Wasn't a plate on front of the vehicle. Tinted windows, but looked like a female. I'm guessing either Mrs. Stoops was country club shopping or Bob has a nice collection of wigs.

Kama Sutra co-ed basketball sounds more entertaining.

That's what she said.

Don't remember the game, only being 7 years old, but I remembered him playing QB. It's the next season I really remember following Husker football. Loved Van Bronson!

My top 5 pet peeves: 1) You can't give more than 100%. 2) Supposably is spelled supposedly. 3) The word "often" is pronounced with a silent "t". 4) Tom Osborne pronounces his last name "Osburn". I had a professor in college who said it doesn't matter if a person's name is spelled SMITH, and he pronounces it JONES, you go with the way that person pronounces it. 5) There isn't a state Oregone. Everyone have a blessed weekend!

Look at all the earthquakes on this list that are 5 km deep. Earthquakes in Superior, Nebraska, United States - Most Recent (earthquaketrack.com) The rabbit holes I could take you down....

Jumbo Stiehm is saying the same thing about this program for more than a century. Uh, oh. I just offended shrimp loving and fat Husker fans......
-
I think what 49r meant to say was "Elisjaha Dicken can hit 80% of his shots from 40 yards. Why can't the Huskers do the same from 15 feet?" Easily offended, have at it!

Dog Days of Summer Recommendations
cipsucks replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Here's an easy and tasty side dish. Ranch mushrooms. 16-24 oz whole button mushrooms. One stick of real butter. One packet of ranch dressing. Melt the butter in a sauce pan, stir in the ranch dressing and pour it over the shrooms in a crockpot. Cook on low for 3-4 hours. Heavenly! -

The NY Times is a pay website. Too much time in Minnesota, Handy. Get your ass back to Nebraska before it's too late. -

Dog Days of Summer Recommendations
cipsucks replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Thanks for the review, @Norm Peterson! I have a customer who calls it crack cocaine in a bottle. @49r, I've had several people tell me 801 is highly overrated. Never been there. -
OT: Am I screwed? Dog bit someone
cipsucks replied to basketballjones's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I've had a couple incidents over the years where our dog{s} nipped at people. Nothing ever happened. The one dog that did it 3 or 4 times, we put it down. Don't worry about the government knocking on your door. I'd worry about mental health officials coming to ask you why you follow Nebraska basketball. BTW, what was she selling?
