  1. With Jordy's lack of a vertical, I'd call him ground steak.
  2. Gates was the lead recruiter for Djery Baptiste when Gates was at Northwestern. Baptiste now a grad transfer with two years' eligibility left.
  3. Revive this thread.
  4. Minnesota grad transfer C Matz Stockman to Cal. Kent State grad transfer C Adonis De La Rosa to Illinois.
  5. In the photo, he is walking directly to that garage door, but Roby and Allen are guarding it, so we should be good.
  6. Leaving Vandy as a grad transfer in December 2018. Will have 1.5 years to play.
  7. Here's a wild one: Vanderbilt junior C D'jery Baptiste (6-10) will graduate in December and transfer then. Miles offered back in 2014, but he chose Vandy over UConn. 15-16: Redshirt 16-17: Played in all 35 games, made one start, scored 1.8 ppg and grabbed 1.9 rpg. 17-18: 10 starts in 29 games, 15 minutes per game, 3.4 points, 3.6 rebounds per game. 75 percent from FT line last year. Could join a team by mid-December and then play all of 19-20. Not sure we're in the market, but if we're looking for some depth off the bench in the front court ... Am I the only one who thinks we still need a big body for this year?
  8. And DU loves it frozen white-guy sport as well.
  9. Agreed. Still some possibilities out there. I think Stockman could be an option. Former Louisville player who would cost us a scholarship for only next year. De La Rosa is likely a better player, but I'm not sure if he's a grad transfer or a regular transfer. Seems to have played two years at Kent, preceded by a redshirt year at St. John's and a year at a JC in North Dakota. Appears to be a grad transfer, though.
  10. Adonis De La Rosa, 7-0 center, transfer from Kent State. The Kent State men's basketball team's interior depth suffered a sizable blow Tuesday, as 7-foot center Adonis De La Rosa received his release from the program, multiple sources close to the program confirmed to KentWired. De La Rosa, a native of the Bronx, started in 32 of Kent State's 34 games in the 2017-18 season and averaged 11.8 points per game, a mark good for third on the team. De La Rosa had a tumultuous run before coming to Kent State, spending a year at St. John's before attending Williston State College in North Dakota. Multiple sources also confirmed to KentWired that the team was notified of De La Rosa's release on Sunday, and it has begun to plan for life without the big man. De La Rosa's size made him one of the most formidable centers in the Mid-American Conference. De La Rosa recorded a total of 49 blocks in his two seasons with the Flashes, and he made life difficult in the paint for opposing centers on a regular basis.
  11. It was a bulldog bitch.
  12. Don't get me started on the Bulldogs. That's where my first wife went to school. Grrrrr.
  13. You had me at "blue sweater vest."
  14. What if Dima Zdor and Pia Zadora drank Zima with Zsa Zsa on a seesaw?
  15. She was in the original 1988 movie "Hairspray." She played "Beatnik Chick." Of course, I remember that because I was at the Florida premiere at the Miami Film Festival. I sat next to Divine's mother. Divine was a couple of rows in front of us. Pia was not in the audience.
  16. Damn. And Stivrins might have stayed too.
  17. How about this blast from the past:
  18. Yeah, my choice was between McGee and Kellogg. I went with the other traitor. At least he sent his son to save the world from evil (Northwestern) via (Hail) Mary.
  19. Ron Kellogg.
  20. The addition of Muscatine's Joe Wieskamp gives them another offensive whiz. Fun to watch (lose).
  21. Think about that simple phrase: "Nebraska's going to be a fantastic basketball team." Let it swirl around for a moment. Whether it comes to pass, we at least have this moment.
  22. Hmmm. I really think we're not deep in the front court this year. We have 80 minutes per game at the 4/5 positions and probably just three people to split those; that's barring injury, of course.
