HuskerFever Posted December 10, 2015 Report Posted December 10, 2015 We had a thread similar to this one pop up last year around the Diamondhead Classic... so we're just about on schedule. Quote
Silverbacked1 Posted December 10, 2015 Author Report Posted December 10, 2015 Yep, it is that time of the year. Just wanted to try to lighten the mood some this morning. HuskerFever 1 Quote

PimpMario Posted December 10, 2015 Report Posted December 10, 2015 It did Silverback, but this has been a rough season so far. We have failed to pick off any of the ranked teams we have played and got embarrassed by Creighton. Rhode Island almost feels like a must win if we want to have any hope of making the post season. Silverbacked1 Posted December 10, 2015 Author Report Posted December 10, 2015 That is why we all need to redroup and come ready to help on Sunday. You know loud and proud. Quote

Has it? I guess that depends on what you were expecting. Yesterday aside, I'm more encouraged by what's happened this year than discouraged. I would have preferred a few things go differently, but I think there's a lot to be excited about. I still think this is an NIT team and that, to me, would be encouraging. Quote

Red Don Posted December 10, 2015 Report Posted December 10, 2015 The sun did come up today. Onward we go! I'll drink to that. NO! (I drank last night ) (But I should be ready to 'Rock the Vault' by Sunday) Quote
HuskerFever Posted December 10, 2015 Report Posted December 10, 2015 I guess that depends on what you were expecting. Based on the predictions made prior to the start of the season by people on this board, the average number of predicted non-conference wins is 9.3. If we sweep the rest of non-conference, we hit 9 wins. Sounds fairly close to people's expectations in terms of absolute wins. Quote

I've seen flashes of brilliance from the team last year and even more this year, but not getting my hopes up. Love the optimism tho. That attitude is what our fan base needs to maintain.
