Dante Exum. From the Australian Institute of Sport.

He's a Rivals 5-star. And it seems like we had a former player from the Australian Institute of Sport who played for us for a few years. And don't we have a current assistant coach who has some connections down in Australia or something?

C'mon Chris, get on it.

Cant say I know anything about the Exum kid but Simmons is THEE REAL DEAL! I watched the Adidas Nations summer camp on CBS sports this summer and this kid was probably top 5, which included kids from the USA that are seniors this year. He was electric. They were saying on the boradcast the kid will be able to pick any school he wants to attend for A YEAR. As much as Im a fan of Harriman I dont see him pulling Simmons in if/when UNC, KU, UK come calling. If he did, cart wheels are in store.

We need to establish a down-under pipeline. What Nebraska lacks in recruiting population, we need to make up for elsewhere where there isn't a natural constituency to some other American college or university.

Thanks for your knowledge and inside insight on this stuff, Kamdy.

Anything you know about 2013 big men still available, please let us know.

found some stuff on Exum and Simmons when talking about the Adidas Nations tournament

bullet.gifDante Exum: After playing well in Las Vegas at the Super 64 and then drawing rave reviews early in the Adidas Nations event, the 6-foot-5 Australian combo guard was outstanding. He's got command of the ball, a great first step and a body built to finish through contact at the rim. His jumper is solid and he reads the high ball screen very well on both defense and offense. Could he be a five-star in 2014?

The below on Simmons focused more on his championship game play:

Ben Simmons: Simmons was a few finishes/shots that rattled out of the rim away from having a monster game. Still, he showed flashes of what appears to be a pretty immense talent level. The smooth southpaw is a dangerous jump shooter with easy three-point range, rebounds instinctively and has a high overall skill level.

aussie's play some good basketball, i enjoyed watching their teams in the olympics they dont have that european sterotype at all, they very physical and had a lot of swagger. so im all for getting some aussie' in here for the forseable future. Look at St.Mary's and Gonzaga they strike canda and austrailia hard and it always seems they have some unknown stud put in four or five solid years there and help them get to the dance. i think we have to be unconventional when it comes to recruting. We cant recruit like UNC or Kentucky does, we have to forge our own path.
