Fullbacksympathy Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 I like his game. More of a scorer. Plays under control at a high speed. Impressive, offensively. Easily athletic enough for defense. Quote
Cookie Belcher Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Hunter's connection to his program has to play a big role if we are going to beat out Kansas for him IMO. Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted April 11, 2014 Author Report Posted April 11, 2014 The toughest team to beat may be NC State if they get in the picture as they were last year when this whole ordeal with his LOI happened. He's from Raleigh so playing back home can be tough to beat. Quote
Norm Peterson Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 We're apparently still in the hunt for this kid. He eliminated about half of the schools that were after him, including Missouri, Rutgers and Georgia Tech. But he didn't eliminate us. So, we got that going for us. Quote
Husker Bone Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Norm, where are you hearing this? Do you have a link? Quote

TheKamdyMan Posted April 11, 2014 Author Report Posted April 11, 2014 The connections at Brewster for Kenya Hunter are definitely keeping us in the game thats for sure. I know some are questioning his ties but this is a big connection school for him. Quote
Cookie Belcher Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Kansas, Virginia, NC State are a few Quote
Norm Peterson Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 But we have the reigning National Coach of the Year. That oughta count for something. Quote
Swan88 Posted April 11, 2014 Report Posted April 11, 2014 Home town for Devonte Graham is, apparently, Raleigh, North Carolina. Raleigh is the city where North Carolina State University is located. The Wolfpack message board homers seem pretty confident that Devonte will be playing for the Wolfpack next year. Quote

Well, until he carves us out of his list, I'm going to continue to hope we get him. I think he's the kind of player who, when added to guys like Petteway, Shields, Pitchford, Webster, and a big to be named later, really would put this team solidly into the "and win a game when you get there" category. Yeah I posted that previously. The reason he isnt there now is when he was in HS and signed to Appy State, the supposedly "tampered" with trying to recruit him and get out of the LOI. Thats the reason hes been in this fight because Appy State wasnt happy with them trying to poach and was so reluctant to release him and took about 18 months to finally release him. Quote
Minnesota_Husker Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 Creighton recruiting guy on 1620 today seems to think they have a shot at him. Quote

Is that the in we have with Graham? Kansas has one open spot and they're still in on Miles Turner...not sure if they think they're getting him or not. NC St is pretty full at guard...not sure if he wants to be a hometown kid or not. Quote

It'll be between the three of ku, ncst, and nu. IMO! Just a long shot guess tho Quote
Norm Peterson Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 We have a shot or they have a shot? Quote
ShortDust Posted April 12, 2014 Report Posted April 12, 2014 I'll give us a decent chance. If he makes it for a visit the odds could be even more in our favor. KnightHusker 1 Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted April 13, 2014 Author Report Posted April 13, 2014 Well looks like KU and NC State visits set. Others mentioned not including NU. Quote

TheKamdyMan Posted April 24, 2014 Author Report Posted April 24, 2014 obviously we are out of it but Rivals updated him from unranked 3 star to a 4 star and ranked #36 in the top 150. Quote

hhcmatt Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 A bit of a step up over Appalachian St, no? Quote
TheKamdyMan Posted May 2, 2014 Author Report Posted May 2, 2014 A bit of a step up over Appalachian St, no? Naadir Tharpe announces a mutual separation from KU and he will not return yesterday and today Graham commits. Quote
