Illinois fans are thinking we might be looking past them and instead ahead to MSU.

They're thinking it might be an opportunity to trip us up.

I think they're sadly mistaken.  We all know that the game Wednesday is the one we need to have.

I can honestly say I never thought I'd live to see the day that Illinois fans think Nebraska is looking past them in basketball.

Win this game and then we move on to the next.  Lose and our whole world collapses.

OK.

I am a longtime diehard Nebrasketball fan, what do you expect of me.

I have seen our team climb into bubble consideration time and time again and piddle it away, usually against inferior competition.

If we lose at home, to Illinois, our bubble is probably popped.

I get that, I just think you're being a little too dramatic.  I'm going to be as upset as anyone if we drop this game, but it's not like this program will never recover from a loss to Illinois on Wednesday.

The fact that we are even having this discussion this year says more than the result on Wednesday will, IMO.

How many of those teams was Miles running?

Wait... what about 6th place? Or 7th? Or 8th through 12th? I guess in the Big Ten, if you ain't first, second, third, fourth, or fifth... you're last.
