Of all the sort of traditions we have for this board (post game chat, game thread, etc) it's somewhat odd that we don't have a thread for the upcoming opponent.

Let's start that.

Some getting you started reading

At first glance they're a team trying to figure themselves out after losing 90% of their scoring from last year.  Jim Larranaga plays at a fairly slow tempo and this team is no different.  So far Miami has been pretty awful shooting the ball and while they don't have a ton of height, they have a couple of guys who could punish us in the paint.

Slightly off topic...

I stayed at the Marriott in the haymarket last night and noticed they had a "Miami Men's Basketball" placard up by one of the meeting rooms.  Are they already in town?  I hope a long lay over in Lincoln puts them off their game.

They played in California on Sunday...wouldn't make a ton of sense for them to travel back to Miami.

That's probably where most teams stay.

Ah, didn't check their schedule- that would make sense.  Seems like a painfully long stay.

Yeah they've been on the road since last Wednesday, so hopefully they are tired and ready to get back to the beach on Wednesday night.

Kent and Matt were talking that the canes would leave LA fly to Omaha play game Lincoln then go home.

Coach confirmed Miami is in town and said they were eating at downtown Misty's tonight.

If my last experience there is any guide, that means they waited half an hour for the waitress to bring them water and another half an hour to take their order.  Should give them a great impression of the dining scene in Lincoln.  :P
