Not sure if any of you saw this, or if it matters that much...

Ohio State lost a big 4 star recruit to BYU and Illinois just today lost a big recruit to Louisville.  Obviously I enjoy reading this since we play both those teams.  The less talent they can bring in, the better :)

Dastrup going to BYU isnt a shocker. He grew up a BYU fan, is mormon, and played AAU with a couple of their commits.  More think it was a shock he even chose OSU at one point than the switch.

Did any of you see the video of the Illinois guys that taped the decision?  First he picked up the Illinois hat, then put it down and grabbed KU.  There were going crazy.  Pretty good stuff.

Groce is struggling to get Chicago talent so far.   Okafor, Alexander, White all going out of state.

Minnesota also unable to keep in-state talent, even after poaching Ben Johnson from us.  Tyus Jones to Duke, Reid Travis to Stanford, J.P. Macura to Xavier, and not looking great for Rashad Vaughn.

I wouldn't go that far. You're never going to keep every top talent in Chicago. It's just not possible. But Groce has landed Kendrick Nunn and Jaylon Tate (Tate wasn't super highly recruited). Both are Simeon kids, and that could potentially open up the pipeline again.

Groce has done a great job of recruiting, and hasn't shown that he doesn't need to simply recruit Chicago. He recruits nationally.
