Sign me up for Davis!

+1.

Nebraska can use a 6'8", 215 lb, Forward

I have a friend who is a hard-core Illinois fan and he said there's a ton of interest in him from the Illini side as well.

Also, they've been linked to a PF from Texas Tech who was the reigning sixth man of the year in the Big 12.

This is an excerpt from the article linked in Robin Washut's tweet:

In addition to Tarrant leaving the program, leading scorer Josh Davis has received his release from the school, Jeff Goodman of CBSSports.com is reporting. Davis was the team’s leading scorer and rebounder last season, averaging a double-double of 17.6 points and 10.7 rebounds per game.

Okay but I will have to see a picture of him beside McDermette first before I even look at him.

You have seen him.  He was the skinny kid who destroyed us on the boards, nearly fouled out Ubel, and almost led to Tulane beating us at home.  Dude has a MOTOR and can jump out of the gym.  He would be a great get.

Excerpt from the article linked in Robin Washut's tweet:

Bradley lost two men’s basketball players and gained one Tuesday.

Sophomores Jalen Crawford and Shayok Shayok requested and received their releases from the program and intend to transfer after this school year next month.

Meanwhile, another sophomore, 6-foot-8 Mike Shaw, just released last week by Illinois, visited Bradley on Tuesday and gave Geno Ford a verbal commitment before heading back to Champaign to finish the semester.

“I got to see the (Bradley) campus and the practice facility,” Shaw said. “I love it. It’s a place I can see myself being. I really like their style of play and what Coach Ford is trying to do. I see myself having a good career there.”

Shaw, a first-team all-stater at Chicago De La Salle in 2011, was a top 100 recruit and chose the Illini from a host of high major offers.

With all of the things going on at Rutgers right now, the head coach, AD, and maybe even president will be fired.  Maybe another possibility for a transfer.  Not sure in a case like this if the players would be forced to sit out a season for transferring.

Wally Judge, F, RS Junior, 6'9", 250 lbs

Second-year junior transfer student...McDonald’s High School All-America selection who played two seasons at Kansas State…Participated in all team activities, but did not compete in games in 2011-12 under NCAA transfer guidelines…Big time athlete who can put the ball on the floor and also shoot it from 15 to 17 feet…Has the ability to guard three positions...Finishes at the rim with tremendous explosion.

Greg Lewis, F, Soph, 6'9", 240 lbs

True sophomore…A tough, physical big man…As offensive game continues to mature, will have an opportunity to be one of the premiere bigs in the conference.

Derrick Randall, F/C, Soph, 6'8", 240 lbs

True sophomore…A tremendous rebounder and defender who brings a physical presence and toughness to the program…Was the initial commitment of RU’s heralded 2011 recruiting class.

Kadeem Jack, F, RS Soph, 6'9", 225 lbs

Redshirt sophomore…Enrolled at Rutgers midyear in 2010-11 and was redshirted…An elite athlete with unlimited potential…Athleticism and versatility make him a cornerstone for the future...A 2011-12 BIG EAST All-Academic Team member.
