I know there was some discussion about this awhile back. I've been twitter stalking long enough to know that lot of Husker fans like to tweet at some of these recruits. What is the NCAAs stance on this and how will they police it? I was recently reminded of this as I sent in my donation for tickets in the new arena. Right on the form it reminds you that by sending in your seat donation you are now a booster and cannot contact prospective athletes by any median including by social media and social networking sites. A lot of ticket holders fall into this category with a good number of seats requiring a donation.

impossible to control as any fan base can impersonate another fan base to sabotage them in recruiting.  They originally thought it was something they could control but with the new rules they wanted to implement they didnt even care how much the coaches used social media avenues to contact kids let alone fans and they can at least control the coaches.

I think you need to reread what qualifies you as a booster, almost everyone on the board falls into that category, so if you are tweeting to recruits, you are breaking rules.  I followed some recruits when I first got Twitter and didn't know the rules, but the work it takes to go through their tweets to glean out anything of interest just isn't worth it IMO.
