GoBigRed Posted March 7, 2013 Report Posted March 7, 2013 Khyri Thomas, Omaha Benson, 6-4, guard-forward, Jr.: Part of a tall lineup for the Bunnies, he’s one of the top players in the junior class. Quote
hugh42 Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 He had 24 to lead his team today. Nice looking player. Quote
uneblinstu Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Looking forward to seeing the Class A games tomorrow. Glad the first round went chalk. Quote
TheGov21 Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Yeah I was pretty impressed with him. Also really liked the C for Benson. 6'9 junior. Pesonally thought he played better than Akoy. Had a better offensive presence and skill set IMO. Quote
doc1394 Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 He played sloppy at times yesterday, but the potential is there. Didn't get to see him today, but I heard he held pretty quiet. Quote
uneblinstu Posted March 8, 2013 Report Posted March 8, 2013 Central just overwhelmed Benson today. They bottled up Thomas pretty good. Quote
hugh42 Posted March 9, 2013 Report Posted March 9, 2013 Yeah I was pretty impressed with him. Also really liked the C for Benson. 6'9 junior. Pesonally thought he played better than Akoy. Had a better offensive presence and skill set IMO. I was impressed with Bol too. Decent offensive game near the basket and pretty athletic. Good defender as well. Quote
acroth Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 Does he have any offers anywhere? If no one transfers out I assume the Huskers wouldn't be able to give him a scholarship and ask him to be a preferred walk on if they did anything with the guy, because of the lack of scholarships...same with Tre'Shawn Thurman from Central. UNO will have 4 or 5 scholarships open for the 2014 class, and a former Benson Bunny on their team...if he redshirted at UNO then he would be a freshman in their first year of Tournament eligibility. But maybe he is far better than UNO? Quote

TheGov21 Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 It's not that easy for most North Omaha players to walk on at a school like Nebraska. Even UNO. Quote
