With the wind blowing in tonight Boeve shouldn't porch any to right field. Watched him play legion and high school ball in Hastings. He hit a few balls off of the bricks in right 370.

Saw one baseball poll (top 50) and we weren’t included.  Still a lot of work to do for the boys after that opening weekend.

I bailed on the Huskers last year.  After football and basketball, I couldn't take another depressing season.  Didn't realize Omaha took 2 of 3 last year till I heard it on the radio this morning.  That crap gets corrected tonight.

Unfortunately— just about everyone took 2/3 from us last year.  I like our chances though!  New year, new club, let’s get it done.

Wow.  Not our best effort.  Bullpen walks everyone.  Shay walks 2 and gives up a 2 run double, and Omaha takes the lead back.  This is the San Diego version of our team.  Which is not a good version.

Worried about our pitching.  We’ve got a good 1-2 punch on Friday/Saturday… but our pen and midweek arms have really struggled.

I worry about pitch selection.  Shay threw way too many sliders.  If I were to guess, I would go with 75 % of his pitches were sliders.  Most of them missed the zone, leading to far too many walks.

That’s just awful.  Bases juiced… 2-3-4 hitters and three straight Ks.  Not a good loss tonight.
