The NU v. Texas Tech game this afternoon will be televised on the MLB Network. I believe the telecast starts at 3:00 pm Central.

NU Softball won today by scores of 20-1 and 10-0. Impressive day. GBR

I feel sorry for Jordy. The defense blew a 5 to 0 

lead in the Texas tech game. Today she throws a no hitter in 7 innings. Unfortunately her teammates can't provide her one run. After last week I thought we had a pretty good hitting team but apparently  not against good pitching.

Defeated Mizzou 10-9 a day after skunking Wichita St. 15-0. Prior to that was a 1-0 loss to Okie St. and a 7-1 loss to Mizzou, all games played in Wichita. So, a 2-2 weekend for the Big Red.

We're going to have to find a way to score some runs against good pitching and win games when Jordy isn't pitching.

 

Seems like most of our losses are when Jordy isn't on the mound OR when we can't score and Jordy is on the mound.

I was hoping this year our new pitchers would be better than average, but they are not. When Jordy isn't pitching, we have to score a lot of runs.  When we face average pitchers we seem to hit the crap out of the ball.  When we come up against better than average pitchers we have a hard time even making contact with the ball.  Strike out way too much.  I feel for Jordy when she pitches against good pitching because she gets very little (if any) help from her batters.

True, But they should have won some of the games that they lost as well. I'm the 49er of the softball team.
