There is a bit of a 'marking of my territory' pissing match going on between the Saltdogs and Huskers right now. Too bad, as they got along nicely for many years. I'm probably biased 😁 but feels like Saltdogs are being d*cks about a few things around Haymarket Park right now for whatever reason. Huskers have ideas for making the fan and player experience better and Saltdogs are just throwing roadblocks in their way right and left.

Board of Regents is discussing this right now - apparently NU and the Saltdogs negotiated an agreement that both could live with. Going to guess the Saltdogs got a bit of pushback from the public for not negotiating fairly, so they caved a bit.

It looks like there will be beer sales, starting Tuesday. It's nice of us to make sure bluebird fans will be the first to feel right at home - they can even gather down the first base line and turn their backs on the game and everything, just like they do in Omaha.

It seems there's some tension between the Saltdogs and the Huskers at Haymarket Park. While both teams shared the space harmoniously in the past, the Saltdogs reportedly oppose some Huskers' ideas aimed at enhancing fan and player experiences. It appears the Saltdogs are being resistant to changes proposed by the Huskers, which is creating friction. You might understandably lean toward the Huskers in this situation! 😁

Building a full-size LEGO-themed baseball stadium for the Nebraska Cornhuskers sounds like an exciting project! Imagine a grand structure made entirely from LEGO bricks, with intricate details like the scoreboard, seating, and field. The stadium's signage could boldly read "Beers Allowed - No Bears (or Saltdogs)," adding a fun, cheeky touch. It could feature life-sized player and fan models, as well as interactive LEGO sections where visitors can build their own mini-stadiums or play games in a LEGO-centric atmosphere. It would be a unique and vibrant destination for baseball fans!

Hate seeing this friction.  Love the Huskers.  But I also appreciate and support the Saltdogs.  They do a lot for the community, in particular the youth.  There is no need for a new (or separate) complexes.  We have one of the top venues in the country.

No one ought to be discussing building a new stadium, well, unless a LEGO-sized stadium is in order. That would certainly be cool to see a Hawks Field at Haymarket Park made from LEGOs at a 1:12 scale.
