12dozen Posted November 25, 2022 Author Report Posted November 25, 2022 I don't think Weidner will start, but don't know. Just copied what was posted on Huskers.com a couple days ago. Red Don 1 Quote
Huskerpapa Posted November 25, 2022 Report Posted November 25, 2022 Did Allison suffer a fracture in the eye region? Either way, I am guessing she may not play at this tournament. But she is a tough kid, if she can play, she will. Red Don 1 Quote
Bugeaters1 Posted November 25, 2022 Report Posted November 25, 2022 Weidner is starting!!!! Montana_85 F and 12dozen 2 Quote
Red Don Posted November 25, 2022 Report Posted November 25, 2022 Not to repeat Bugeaters, rather to to add to it. Per Matt Coatney, Allison Weidner will start. Probably won't see Sam Haiby this weekend, but seems to be more precautionary than anything else as her injury seems to less serious than thought (or could be). Montana_85 F 1 Quote
Red Don Posted November 25, 2022 Report Posted November 25, 2022 (edited) Game -On Weidner opens the scoring with 2!!! (Seemed to be an extended pre-game, converstion with Coach Amy; the prior game ran over time. ) Edited November 25, 2022 by Red Don Quote
12dozen Posted November 25, 2022 Author Report Posted November 25, 2022 Looks like Weidner is wearing some kind of protective goggles or glasses. Quote
KarlHessEatMy.... Posted November 25, 2022 Report Posted November 25, 2022 This team is something else. Hard to watch. I want the defense back from last year ugh Quote
12dozen Posted November 25, 2022 Author Report Posted November 25, 2022 Markowski with 2 fouls. Yet, she's still out by half court defending. Could have picked up number 3. Lucky she didn't. Not much fire, so far. Pick it up, ladies. Quote

Red Don Posted November 25, 2022 Report Posted November 25, 2022 (edited) After a slow start (A&M leading by 5 or 6) Huskers catch on Fire and close the 1st half with a 15 pt lead @ 35-20 & rebounding 17-9. Edited November 25, 2022 by Red Don Quote
12dozen Posted November 25, 2022 Author Report Posted November 25, 2022 Up double digits at half. Playing better. Jazz even sank a couple 3's. Weidner is really playing well. She carried us the first half. Red Don, Bugeaters1 and Montana_85 F 1 2 Quote

redsteve Posted November 25, 2022 Report Posted November 25, 2022 (edited) Congratulations to Annika! She has paid her dues, and deserves the recognition for a well done 23 pts, with several different shots. (80% from the floor shooting 2 ptrs) Rebounded well too. Markowski was solid with another double-double. (third of year... team high). Wiedner saved us in the first half, and got us going. These two are solid game after game. So much for the sophmore letdowns. Edited November 25, 2022 by redsteve Montana_85 F, 12dozen, Red Don and 1 other 3 1 Quote

KarlHessEatMy.... Posted November 25, 2022 Report Posted November 25, 2022 Quite the turnaround after the first qtr. Hopefully they can keep that up the rest of weekend. And I won't say much about the sophomore slump until we play the real teams to see how they do. Red Don 1 Quote
