Huskers Return to Road to Take on Top-20 Terps  
Nebraska hits the road for the first time in three weeks when the Huskers take on No. 17/14 Maryland on Sunday in College Park.

The Huskers (17-4, 6-4 Big Ten) and the Terrapins (16-6, 8-3 Big Ten) are set for a Noon (CT) tip at the Xfinity Center on Senior Day for the Terps.

Today will be a great opportunity to show that we can compete with the top of the conference on the road.  We need to cut down turnovers and our bigs have to defend and rebound.

This going to be the real deal. It's time to find out how we can compete.   Too bad it's an away game.

 

They have good size. They can rebound.  Decent 3 shooters, can be streaky though. All the starters can score. Have decent bench, maybe not as prolific as ours.

 

Would guess they'll double team Markowski like everyone tries to do these days.  

 

But, they are beatable. It may hinge our being able to defend their speed. We must score from all areas....and REBOUND

This is an excellent opportunity for the Huskers' all-time win percentage against Maryland to improve to the positive. It's currently at 0.000 (0-14).

The good news: The Huskers have a chance to show some resiliency. The game isn't over yet!

The 3 point line is deep enough.  Not sure why we keep tossing them up, 2 or 3 feet beyond the line.

First Qtr Stats: Not off to a good start.

Got outplayed in 1st qtr n about every phase.

 

Their defense and size are dominating us. They play our guards out beyond the 3 pt line

 

Like the announcer said..."their on fire". Unfortunately we're playing them....they're killing the three.

Maryland is overwhelming us with their defense.  We are helpless on offense.

Down 23. I think I'm going to watch something else.  I will make one comment.  Missing bunnies is nothing new.  Not sure what the coaches are doing in practice to address it, but it isn't working.  Hoping we play tough the rest of the way.  I'll watch it later if we do.  GBR

Seems to be getting some good looks, but just unable to finish, or shots not going in. Everything seems to be falling for Maryland. (and they are playing down three starters)

Not many good shots in my opinion.  We seem flustered at every turn. We cannot get the ball to the Post.

Think we're intimated by their defense. We're missing shots because of it.

 

T on Maryland ??  YES,,,,   no 10 is looking for a fight.  A bit of thug attitude.

Listening to it on the radio.  I thought after the last game we needed to find some ways to score a little more that didn't involve getting the ball to the post.  Of course if that works often then great, but teams will lock in on that and see what else you got.

Maryland is making us look like a Jr High team. It’s a mismatch.  Amy needs to do something different on offense as what we are trying isn’t working.
