hhcmatt Posted November 9, 2018 Report Posted November 9, 2018 Team prepping situational packages for opponents over the next two weeks Coaches have been showing Glynn his practice numbers (making shots) and telling him their will be a return to the mean regarding his shot not falling last year Talked about the rise of the 3 point shot in college and how they have changed the focus on defense and offense Talked Roby's foul troubles "We keep telling him not to foul...maybe we'll tell him TO foul" Touched on how they're working to eliminate the unnecessary touch fouls of Roby and Watson Quote
Huskerpapa Posted November 9, 2018 Report Posted November 9, 2018 (edited) Is there anyone out there who calls himself/herself a Husker basketball fan, who is not concerned about Isaiah and Glynn getting into foul trouble? The is a collective sigh, that nearly sucks the air out of the PBA whenever either of them get called for a foul. Edited November 9, 2018 by Huskerpapa NUtball 1 Quote
Handy Johnson Posted November 9, 2018 Report Posted November 9, 2018 As the season unfolds Tanner and Amir will become more & more serviceable and the foul trouble amongst the starters won't be so deflating... Quote
hal9000 Posted November 9, 2018 Report Posted November 9, 2018 Okay, damn my ignorance, but could someone explain what he means by the "dribble 2"? Quote

I may be totally incorrect, but my take is that Miles wants a catch and shoot three, a shot at the basket or a free throw. The dribble 2 is simply penetrating just enough to get an 18 foot jump shot. From a defensive perspective, that is what he wants the opponent to rely on, not us. hal9000 1 Quote

Glynn Watson's go-to rhythm shot is a great example. He used to exclusively shoot it as a freshman and still breaks it out when he feels like he's in a slump hal9000 1 Quote

hhcmatt Posted November 13, 2018 Author Report Posted November 13, 2018 Gonna make this a catch-all for the year. Two takeaways 1. ATM Thomas Allen is your backup PG and you could probably see anyone in the starting 5 bringing the ball up the court. 2. The rotation is going to be tightened for the Seton Hall game. dustystehl 1 Quote

He also said they have 5 commits for the next 2 recruiting classes and they just need to add another Copeland and another Roby and they'll be set. Quote
