Cowboy Kermit Posted April 18, 2017 Report Posted April 18, 2017 Maybe Tim owes the Agau family a rain check, so he now has his eyes set on Aguir. Who in my opinion has much more upside than his older brother did. Given, they are two different players at two different positions, Aguir's athleticism and versatility is second to none. Can defend 1-4 depending on the match up and he definitely has what the kids call "hops." Wouldn't mind seeing Young Mr. Agau come home after next year. WestOHusker 1 Quote
WestOHusker Posted April 18, 2017 Report Posted April 18, 2017 If he's gotten his act together off the court since he left for California, I'd love to go after him. Super skilled and super athletic. Supposedly he's also grown since he's been in Cali. We'll see where this goes. bigFRED 1 Quote

Neon Budreau Posted April 18, 2017 Report Posted April 18, 2017 I'm not really sure how the re-classifying things work. I'd assume he will go back to his California HS for a year. Although I did see he is going to play AAU with his old Omaha club this summer though. Quote

I assume if you re-classify you would have to go to a Prep school to be eligible which would mean he could not come back and play high school ball in Nebraska. Edited April 18, 2017 by Navin R. Cowboy Kermit Posted April 18, 2017 Report Posted April 18, 2017 I believe that he is currently enrolled in Prep school at Cathedral HS which is how he reclassified. I also saw on twitter somewhere that his AAU team this summer is the Las Vegas Knicks, so he'll be on the Adidas Circuit. WestOHusker 1 Quote
Neon Budreau Posted April 20, 2017 Report Posted April 20, 2017 You are right, he is playing with the Las Vegas Knicks this summer. I had my wires crossed Quote
Cowboy Kermit Posted April 24, 2017 Report Posted April 24, 2017 Agau's Las Vegas Knicks lost to the 17U squad from OSA 71-64 this past weekend. OSA was lead by local products including Kearney High's Kannon Koster w/ 21 Platteview's Brady Heiman w/ 14 and Omaha Burke's Shereef Mitchell w/ 11. Couldn't find a stat line for Mr. Agau WestOHusker 1 Quote
TourneyBound Posted April 24, 2017 Report Posted April 24, 2017 Anyone know if Koster has been getting any offers?? Quote

Crazy good basketball IQ, not that many question marks. Just too small.. Sad Quote
bigFRED Posted July 13, 2017 Report Posted July 13, 2017 Really hope we are recruiting this kid. Taller than Aguek, better shooter, plays 2/3 position. Definitely on the wish list, and he loves nebraska.. Quote
bigFRED Posted July 23, 2017 Report Posted July 23, 2017 We need to start going after this kid right now. Like can someone please explain to me why we havent been. Quote

Chuck Taylor Posted July 23, 2017 Report Posted July 23, 2017 His best offers seem to be Colorado and Wash State, so not like he's not good enough for us. The Sudanese community seems to have a growing impact on these kids' future, i.e. the Luol Deng camps and organization. Maybe they're steering kids to the Pac 12 (like Chang)? And maybe we're out of the picture after the Aguek situation? Dunno, just a random Sunday morning theory before trying to figure out which wolf was in the Game of Thrones trailer. bobcat402 1 Quote

Swan88 Posted August 30, 2017 Report Posted August 30, 2017 Let's see: Akoy Agau went to Louisville, then to Georgetown, then to SMU (I believe that's his current / final spot). And he toyed with / considered the Huskers at every step of his recruitment and transfers journey. Aguir Agau is currently somewhere in California (Cathedal High and Middlebrooks Academy are both showing up online for Aguir), after playing somewhere in Omaha for awhile (online sources reference both Creighton Prep and Central). That's more than a usual amount of transfer drama--even in today's transfer-crazy basketball world. Quote
bigFRED Posted August 30, 2017 Report Posted August 30, 2017 Offered by Oregon state and tulane this week. Still dont know why we havent Quote

Norm Peterson Posted August 30, 2017 Report Posted August 30, 2017 Maybe we're waiting for him to attend a few football games for free before we shove offer papers in his face. I dunno. Quote
