They have a good chance at winning this tourney though it's simply a tune-up. The tourney for the Olympics happens in July

Not sure who they play yet as Idaho blew their game to Macedonia so there are three 1-3 teams in addition to 3-0 Iran.

Also, not everyone has their "A" team here. For instance, the Lithuanian squad is the "B" team.

The Tall Blacks are in Manila and play vs the Philippines tomorrow (Wednesday) at 8 am CST. They basically need to win this game in their pool of 3 to advance to the 4 team playoff or else they will have to take out France.  They play France on Thursday at 8 am and we might get to see Tai Webster guarding Tony Parker.

Both Tony Parker and Boris Diaw along with other NBA players are active for Team France.

They just beat the Philippines so New Zealand can qualify for the 4 team playoff by knocking off the home team tomorrow.

Yes. However, even if they do make it further than these two games they need to make the Olympics if they are going to play past July 10th. When we see Webster back in town would depend on if he's stopping home first before coming here and how long that layover might be.

Tai dropped 25 to go with 11 against New Zealand and I think I even saw him post up a smaller guard.

He still doesn't always make the best decisions but he seemed a bit more assertive than in past years where he'd defer to the older players. He had some tough finishes in the paint and the one in the highlight is against a NBA-esque center in Andray Blatche.

 

 

Should be fun to watch tomorrow when he'll get to guard Tony Parker at points.

probably not, that's why rooting against him is so he can be back here for training is so weak.  would take a pair of guys shooting out of their mind against france in the knockout stage to win that bracket IMO.
