  1. The team owns that facility. The two banners in the back are pictures of Barnes making sure no one forgets who has the $$$ here.
  2. I played in the All Iowa Attack practice facility Harrison Barnes made for his middle school Club team. It’s the nicest gym I’ve ever played in. I think they said it cost well over a million dollars. Their team had a guy who dropped 50 on us. It was a really cool experience.
  3. As a student I just received this email. To the Students, Faculty and Staff of the University of Nebraska: I am writing to let you know that together with my family, I have made the difficult decision to step down as president of this great university. The four years that I have spent serving alongside you have been among the most exciting and enriching of my career. Growing up, I never dreamed I would even go to college, much less have the opportunity to work with some of the most talented students, faculty and staff in the world. To have been entrusted with this role by the Board of Regents is the privilege of a lifetime. While rewarding, this job has also been personally demanding. I have done everything I could to serve our students and the people of Nebraska effectively. Now, after more than 20 years in executive roles, it’s time for me to recharge and reconnect with my family. We plan to return to the South, where much of our family lives, late this summer. I won’t be walking away from education, as one of the major goals in my career has always been to bring quality educational opportunities to all. Education transformed my own life, and I will continue to work to help young people experience that same transformative power. I will leave knowing the University of Nebraska is in good hands. The President’s Office leadership team, and Chancellors Gold, Green and Kristensen and their teams, are a talented group. The Board of Regents has high expectations for our continued growth and momentum. Our faculty members are changing lives every day through their work in our classrooms, labs and fields. And our students – the reason we come to work every day – convince me that Nebraska’s future is bright. I only wish I could have personally learned and told each of their 52,000 stories. When I began this job, I said the University of Nebraska had the power to change the world. I believe that is more true today than ever. I can’t wait to see what you continue to achieve. Thanks to each of you, and to all the people of Nebraska, for so warmly welcoming Susie, Will, Caroline and me as one of your own. We are forever grateful.
  4. I have refrained from discussing possibilities until seasons end but the end is here. There is a new Risky Roadz Podcast that wraps up the end of the season and looks forward to the next. Already available so if you're on a bit of the hype train we got your back, if you still like Miles we have that too, if you want a season recap its all there. https://api.spreaker.com/v2/episodes/17427691/download.mp3
  5. A Time for Every Season Jake and Caleb wrap up the season and talk about potential head coaching changes cough cough Fred Hoiberg. Basketball never stops and neither do we. Lots of player decisions are coming in the next few months and we cover most of them today. https://api.spreaker.com/v2/episodes/17427691/download.mp3
  6. This has to be the most unpredictable team I've ever followed. I don't even know. Interested to see how this is scored ;) NU 59 Wisc 59 It has happened once in 1918 between Kentucky and Kentucky Wesleyan and once in 2014. "Winston-Salem State and Johnson C. Smith blew college basketball's world with a tie game. OK, it was called due to a broken light, but it's still incredibly rare. The two teams were tied at 76 in the end of regulation when Johnson C. Smith's Joshua Linson tried a desperation, 75-foot shot before time expired, but instead hit a light above the court. Nice job, Joshua. The light was dangling precariously, so the officials called the game, 76-76, instead of proceeding to overtime, because they didn't want anyone getting hurt. Predictably, players weren't happy, because what basketball player wants a damn tie?"
  7. We all know it will be someone we've never heard of. For some reason everyone still has a guess. Can I take the field? As in nobody on this thread predicted it correctly? June 31st
  8. Maybe someone has mentioned it but I didn’t see it. Somehow our NET rank is still 40. There is something seriously wrong with that statistic and I assume the selection committee is smart enough to figure that out. But an RPI of 40 for a power 5 has basically been an automatic bid for almost at least the last decade. Just throwing that out there.
  9. 5 star players are going to tend to be more worried about the facilities that they will OWN if they make it in the NBA that's why they are at Duke, Kentucky, etc.
  10. Dang I had a response written out for that and decided you must be talking about college. I was going to say that he really has no reason to leave because he already has his 4 year plan in place. No need to go out and seek attention elsewhere. I believe that going to another team won't be that beneficial for him. It's the off the court stuff that will prepare him for a Nebraska career more than on the court stuff. It goes back a little to the discussion we had in the summer about the number 1 guy in a small town compared to the number 5 guy in a big town too. Let him get minutes and shots in games and practice 3's in the summer. I'm sure his family will make sure he's practicing (hopefully the right way) a D1 athlete isn't new for them.
