  1. Before everyone gets on the Harris-is-a-must-get bandwagon, we might all want to take the Omaha World Herald caution as a for-real deal. Here's guessing that, (i) the "national recruiting analyst" information comes from the recruit or his advisors, and (ii) the "relationship remains unclear" information comes from a different source.
  2. According to Wiki, the Duquesne Dukes men's basketball teams last appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 1977, have been to the NIT Tournament twice (1994 and 2009) since 1981, and have been to the CBI twice in recent years (2010 and 2011).
  3. Two points: 1. Recruiting without prior relationship is always a challenge; 2. Tim Miles & Co. won recent victories in lengthy recruiting battles for hotly pursued and highly regarded players such as White, Morrow and Watson. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Andre Almeida is pretty big. So is Leslee Smith. Old Testament is pretty big too. All were serviceable, except for injuries. Those don't count? How about Hammond? Jacobson? Morrow?
  5. According to Urban Dictionary, "hmmmm" is a sound you make "to express hesitation" or when you "are thinking about something" or when you "don't know exactly what to say." Yeah. All of those. And what Auroran said, too.
  6. Word on the street is that Tarin Smith is visiting Duquesne this weekend. Hmmmmm . . .
  7. Apparently it's going. Check this out: http://www.ryanchristianmusic.com/HOME.html
  8. https://twitter.com/RyanChristian44/status/593955917382705152 14.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. In 2013-14, he shot .404 from three. In the next season, a shortened one, he shot .407 from three. Looks like a taller Nick Fuller. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. From a Lee Barfknecht article dated yesterday afternoon and updated last night: "[Rafael] Maia hasn’t visited Nebraska yet but is interested in scheduling a trip. He was at Pitt on Monday and looks to visit USC next. Maia, from Sao Paulo, Brazil, played in prep school at Maine Central Institute for Dave “Soupy” Campbell, a former Nebraska assistant and head coach at Western Nebraska Community College. Campbell is retired and lives in Lincoln."
  11. "At the top of his list" is probably a bit of hyperbole. "In the top three" is probably closer to accurate. But information in the article provides a basis for a glimmer of hope. In addition to Akoy, a current freshman five-star at Georgetown is a childhood friend of Anton Gill.

  13. Gill hasn't returned Robin Washut's calls. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Which recruit are they waiting on? If the recruit is Nigel Williams Goss, he's apparently removed Georgetown from his list already.
  15. Here is a premium report--am not a member: https://twitter.com/michaelbruntz/status/591946007958523905 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. The lack of info is hard to read. But here is an April 19 report on his visit to Georgetown that doesn't sound real good for the Huskers: "[sources] indicate that Louisville transfer guard Anton Gill is close to committing to Georgetown, with a formal commitment possible as soon as tonight. Gill visited Georgetown over the weekend and word is that he impressed the coaching staff both on and off the court." Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. A news report says he hinted in a tweet that he would be playing within four hours driving time of Cleveland. If true, that would eliminate all Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and North Carolina schools on that list and limit choices to Xavier, Dayton and Pitt.
  18. This link attempt is an experiment--hope it works: https://twitter.com/swan888/status/591244585302556672 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk EDIT: Well, it sort of worked. But it didn't get Jon Rothstein's tweet included about Anton Gill visiting Nebraska today.
  19. Thought this was a Nebrasketball coaching search thread. Instead, we're talking about a kid whose performance went south this past season, was suspended for three games, then dismissed, by KSt.? And wondering whether McDermott can turn him around? Ok.
  20. Warren Buffet has had pretty good entrepreneurial success in multiple organizations as a Husker business grad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Looking for optimism, energy and representing Nebraska in the right way--Tim Miles criteria for next coach.

  23. Mark Krueger is, actually, a pretty big guy. But regardless of Edward's size, gotta love this picture showing Edward's athleticism [hope this link works]: https://mobile.twitter.com/CN100Sports/status/589529239797379073 https://twitter.com/CN100Sports/status/589529239797379073/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  25. Foster is an interesting risk / reward get for the Jays -- he seems to have had kind of a Pitchford-esque two years, according to a Kansas St. news source: "In his first season, Foster posted the best season of any K-State freshman since current NBA player Michael Beasley, leading the Wildcats to 20 wins and a NCAA Tournament appearance while averaging 15.5 points. . . . Then everything went south. As a sophomore, Foster's production dropped dramatically. His poor play led to poor body language, and Weber removed him from the starting lineup at the start of Big 12 play. He became a distraction at times, ultimatley earning a three-game suspension during a pivotal stretch in the schedule. He was arguably the most disappointing player in the conference. He finished the season as K-State's leading scorer, averaging 12.5 points, but much of that was due to a hot start as a three-point shooter. He was held scoreless in the final game of his K-State career, a Big 12 Tournament loss to TCU."
