  1. OK, so where can I look up Div I team avg PPG over the last 10 years. We have to be in the bottom 10.
  2. I thought this game is on ESPNU. Not seeing it as one of the upcoming events.
  3. Based on our play so far, we are not an NIT team. I think the chances of us ending up in the NIT are better than 50% though, simply because having Leslee and Moses back will help and I just have confidence that at least a couple of players in our rotation will step up their performance when the other 2 are back. Can't see us making the NCAA this year. Let's say we manage to finish NC 8-4 with two wins in Hawaii. Then manage to somehow match last season's 11-7 conference record. Does that get us in? I don't see how. The Big Ten isn't doing us any favors with the non-conference performance this year.
  4. Yep. Miles was coaching lights out in February, got a big head case with all of the winning during February, and is realizing just now that he shouldn't have been spending all of his time doing selfies with fans the last 6 months.
  5. Nebraska 74 Loyola-Marymount 55
  6. All I can say about traffic is, if you are having trouble getting in and out of Pinnacle, you are parking on the wrong side of the tracks.
  7. What a meltdown of a day for the Big Ten.
  8. Nebraska 64 Hawaii (+3 friends in stripes) 61
  9. How would people here feel about Ed if he gives us 8-12 min a game and maybe a 5 Pt, 4 Reb average his freshman year? I'd take that in a heartbeat. I don't see how he is going to break the starting lineup with all the players we have back next year - Petteway or no Petteway. I really like this guy, but let's give him room to get acclimated to DI ball.
  10. The World-Herald confirms we are showing interest: http://www.omaha.com/huskers/tim-miles-huskers-look-to-land-louisville-transfer-akoy-agau/article_dcd1b9d9-95eb-517d-ad97-796f57667c27.html
  11. He wants to go to the NCAA tourney. Thus, Mizzou would be a huge shock. Compared to who? If he eliminates Mizzou because he wants a program that historically goes to the NCAA, then we don't have a prayer.
  12. There were a lot of heroes tonight, but none more deserving than David. He's carrying a big load with Leslee and Moses out. Thankfully, Walt picked up his game tonight.
  13. Just got back - glad I didn't have to drive back to Omaha pondering another loss. Gutty performance by our guys. Couldn't help but notice the cool kid who only plays for himself gets 10 rebounds tonight. Nice. And the guy who should be benched so Fuller can play more (no offense to Nick) managed a crucial 3, 4 free throws and an alert save of a missed 3 to allow Benny to post the winning margin. I'll take that. Seriously, I don't think Cincinnati is an NCAA team, but this is still a nice win for a team that is struggling.
  14. You seem awfully sure of your assessment of Walt's team attitude, Hoops. Forgive me, but when I read your post, I can't help but think of this famous quote sometimes attributed to Mark Twain: “It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain't so"
  15. So what if the 14-16 happens? Here's my question - what's the BIG picture? It could very well happen. I can live with that if this becomes a "2 steps forward, 1 step back" kind of a trend.
  16. OK, I see it was in the Lincoln paper today - I subscribe to Omaha. "The last time Nebraska lost three straight nonconference games at home? Try 1941-42, when the Huskers lost to UCLA, Oregon and Great Lakes, the second and third of those losses separated by conference games." http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/huskers-searching-for-answers-after-unlikely-loss/article_f85af57c-dc7f-5066-9a77-b38b01657c19.html
  17. I just looked it up myself, throwback. You'll have to tell me later where you found the stat. Of course, anyone can feel free to browse through the media guide and figure it out themselves.
  18. I'll give the answer to this later today, but when was the last time Nebraska lost 3 consecutive home non-conference games? Of course, we can just take care of business Saturday and we won't have to worry about that, will we?
  19. I think Lee nailed it on the head this morning. Especially regarding what is going on in the player's minds right now. http://www.omaha.com/huskers/barfknecht-magic-carpet-ride-hasn-t-cured-all-ills-for/article_d824631c-0100-505b-80a5-ac64688d981f.html Internet experts tell me the problem is big heads from too much preseason praise. I think the opposite is true. These players want to win so badly and to prove last year wasn’t a fluke that they appear paralyzed in fear of making mistakes and disappointing the fans.
  20. Normy, you must have met up with Security Joan. I didn't know she was helping out at PBA.
  21. Normy, you must have met up with Security Joan.
  22. I agree, there's not much to gain from panic. But let's face it - when a Big Ten program with a team that has basically 90% of it's rotation back from the prior year loses a home game to a Div I newcomer AND not one fan blows his stack after the game, then something's really wrong.
