  1. Every once in a while, I like to look at how recent coaches compare to each other regarding scoring. This is career averages (at NU) for our last 6 coaches, sorted by margin. I was a little surprised to see Miles at the bottom of the list. And even more surprised to see Doc in 2nd. NU Opp Margin Moe Iba 67.2 62.3 4.9 Doc Sadler 65.4 62.8 2.6 Danny Nee 76.9 75.0 1.9 Barry Collier 68.2 66.9 1.3 Joe Cipriano 69.7 68.8 0.8 Tim Miles 62.6 63.5 (0.9)
  2. Careful.... if it's yellow snow, it ain't lemonade.
  3. Can't see that happening in combination with the Creighton/Incarnate Word fiascos. And where does the Big Ten rank as a conference in comparison to last year. Aren't we a little bit down?
  4. Wow - that would be great news if he plays on Tuesday.
  5. Minutes played means a lot more to me than whether he starts. He played 29 minutes on Tuesday which is pretty good for a freshman.
  6. ?? It's our turn tomorrow for what? Do you know something?
  7. David gives us all he's got. That's all we can ask for.
  8. Let's see.... so if he signs, we would be replacing a 5-9 Parker with a 6-2 Parker. Any chance that there are these individuals available in the 2016 class? a 7-3 Pitchford a 6-11 Petteway a 6-11 Shields
  9. Here's a background article on Macam. Interesting considerations for anyone recruiting him. http://www.salina.com/sports/juco_small_college/resolute-lion-macam-macam-is-hearing-impaired-but-it-hasn/article_e7abaa18-d27b-5567-b8ce-d201ce170bd3.html
  10. I'm thrilled to have Ed coming here next year. That said, I'll use my general rule of thumb and expect about 50% of what the fan base is expecting out of him right now. Just to be fair to the guy.
  11. I'll go ahead and add one more name... As long as Nick, Tai and Jake are working hard on and off the court and trying to make themselves better, I would like all 3 of them to be back here next year.
  12. I would assume actual attendance is off of scanned tickets. I think if you are sitting at the 100 level, the building appears more full just because of the angle you can view other seats. But if you are in the 300 level like myself, you look around the other 300 level seats and it can look a little sparse at times. My guess is that no more than 60% of the 300-level seats were filled last night. I agree with Rosenthal's estimate. There just can't be 2,000 people in the bathrooms at any given time. Unless of course they had food poisoning issues in the concession stands.
  13. Watch him land in the Big Ten (n-o-o-o-o-o-h!!!) What I don't get, if he was so controversial and sub-par, how did he manage to get selected in the NCAA tourney? Isn't the tourney supposed to select the cream of the crop?
  14. It was not packed. Actual attendance per box score says 13,136, which I think is generous from my 300-level view. But as you pointed out, not bad for a late night weeknight game against a potential conference cellar dweller.
  15. The more I read about this guy, the more I like him. He doesn't seem to get a lot of attention in Iowa. I wonder what would be said about him if he were playing HS ball on this side of the Missouri.
  16. Agree with Norm - we do not have a true big man, and I'm guessing we won't next year. 24 hours ago, I figured it likely that Akoy would be N, but does this change the situation for him? This means we would over-sign if we got a commit from AA. Not the first time that's happened though.
  17. Just 8 more minutes. Hang in there!
  18. I'm glad we are using him. We just need to give him some minutes and develop a little depth.
