For as limited as Tai has been on the offensive end, he is a monster on the defensive end.

The key to this team will be 3 point shooting (45 %), defense (MVSU shot 26 %), and rebounding (gave up 15 offensive rebounds) A nice win last night. We did what we should have. Got out to a big lead and ran away from an overmatched team. Didn't tax our starters (No starter played over 20 minutes). Got plenty of minutes for our bench. If Hammond can give us a quality 15 minutes a game, and average 4 and 3, I will be happy. However, the talent level will go way up.

I think it means he wants to play this year. -

Interesting post game from Coach. He said he is going to have meetings with players about possible redshirts. Also, said he might have to play all 3 big men due to their fouling. -

Can we change our minds, and count this as a regular season win? -

I wonder how Northern State compares to Augustana? Northern State is a good Division II team. Augustana is the No. 1 team in Division III. Wrong Augustana team. The one that beat Iowa is from Sioux Falls, and is Division II. Finished number 2 last year in the country. I have no idea what they had returning. -

I like the hustle of those guys. However, need some work on the defensive end. The last couple possessions have been pretty easy looks. -

I wonder how Northern State compares to Augustana? I'm going to think pretty similar, even though I never watched the Iowa game. -

At least we aren't in a tight game, where they can beat us on a last second shot like some team east of us. -

Hammond has played much, much better to start the 2nd half. Get this contribution from him, this team will be alright. -

They shot 37.4 percent from 3 last year. Maybe it's the bigger arena causing they to miss. They have missed a bunch of wide open looks. It could be rushed shots or the arena. The one they made was from 25 feet. Go figure. Still, a decent first half. Good things I saw: Morrow has been a stud on the offensive glass. Our fast break has looked much better. Defensive intensity is still there. The newcomers seem to be adapting to playing defense in college Webster looks much more confident. White can hit an open shot it seems. Areas of concern: Need to rebound better Somebody besides White needs to hit shots from long distance Hammond is still struggling down low. Needs to give this team 15 - 20 minutes per game. -

Is this going to be an early season where they call fouls on nearly every possession, and then they stop calling fouls? Or, will they keep calling fouls all season? If so, free throw shooting will be very important. -
I stayed up until the 18th inning I made it to the 15th inning. Once Ortiz hit the home run, I didn't think the Yankees were going to win. Much to my surprise to see the Red Sox win in the 19th inning.

Uhm, can the NCAA fine me for responding to that question? I might recommend a reprimand you for telling the truth about the refs.

It's funny how Wisconsin can have 2 fouls in one half, and in the first 12 minutes of the 2nd half be in the double bonus.
-
When every time Duke wins there is questionable calls. Well, Duke fouled 7 times in the first half, and 6 in the 2nd half. Then, you can go to the monitor and all 3 announcers say the ball is off Duke, and you can't see it? How is that possible? The block call on the Winslow drive was a poor call. The time Winslow stepped out of bounds before passing the ball was poor.
-
What should have been a classic finish, was ruined by crappy officiating. First off, the ball was last touched by Duke before Winslow clearly hits the ball again. Winslow should have his fourth foul on a clear charge. How is that a block? The offensive player was out of control with the defensive guy in position. The shot clock violation on Wisconsin Frank was hacked five times with no foul called. It was impossible to play 5 on 8 the 2nd half of the game. Coach K needs to thank the zebras for this game.

It seemed Texas had been down for awhile, and maybe it was time for a change. Barnes seems to be a good coach. He has taken Texas to the NCAA tourney 16 out of 17 years. Nebraska fans would take that. It seems to be like our football team. We fired a coach who went 9-4, 10-4, 10-4, 9-4, 10-4, 9-4, and 9-3. A lot of outsiders look at that as "What the hell are you doing?" Nebraska fans look at it, as "It's just not good enough for our program."

Mike Brey is a good coach, but those last 3 possessions by Notre Dame were awful. Actually, the last 4 possessions were awful (bailed out by a long 3 from Grant). Dribbled the ball at half court, led to an off balance 3 by Grant. Next possession, dribbled the ball at half court, blocked Grant's shot, led to a shot clock violation. Final possession, tried an off balance 3 from the corner. Needed to run offense down the stretch (outside of the final possession)

Whenever Towns gets the ball, I'd send all 5 guys to him. You can't go one on one with him. At least send a double down.
-
A lot of people talk about spacing, and I agree with them. I am watching Notre Dame against Kentucky. One thing I would like to see is get the ball out of the net and try to push when the other team allows. It's difficult in the Big 10 because teams are so well coached to get back on defense, but I still would look for "cheap" points. Press at times, beat the other team down the court. If you can't shoot it's one way to get some points.
