  1. I thought Shields got hit quite a bit down low. I think he should have got more free throws, probably 5 to 6 more.
  2. I think it was the first charging call, where he stole the ball, got slapped across the wrist, which should have led him to the free throw line, before his charge.
  3. The defensive effort was amazing tonight. Held Miami, who coming into the game shot 52% from the floor, to 41% for the game. Miami also was shooting 44 % from 3, but was held to 28.6% from 3 tonight. Need to find another player to complement Shields, for the rest of this year, and also, to get that guy for when Shields is gone next year. Watson is probably going to be that guy. Shot 50% from 3 tonight. Should win some games shooting like that this year. Either Miami is great at avoiding contact down low, or our guys need to take some acting classes. A lot of contact down low especially on Shields tonight, where normally he would get to the line for 12+ attempts. We seem to have that motto again of "Like the three, love the rim." I like that. It is more of an attacker mentality.
  4. Yup. We rarely got the 50-50 call, which is silly. We played awfully well, but we couldn't get to the line enough and we might not have gotten a single great shot attempt out of our halfcourt offense in OT. Shields ran out of gas and we didn't have anyone out there capable of getting their own shot. We need to find a guy to help at the end of games, and quickly. This will be basically be every home game in the Big 10, and even some road games. One thing I did like was that we liked the 3, but we loved the rim. Most of the time, you will get to the line if you do that. Tonight, we could not buy a call at the rim.
  5. It's pretty easy to tell where this game was lost. The road team has 28 free throws. The home team has 12 free throws. Shields should have had 12 free throws himself, but oh well. This one hurts.
  6. That might be the least amount of contact Shields has had all night.
  7. Miami has attempted two more three's and 16 more FREE THROWS than Nebraska.
  8. He was two steps behind the line. No clue why it took so long.
  9. No he didn't. They just showed the replay. It was clean. I'm behind I meant on the lob play.
  10. Rodriguez took 4 steps when he had it on the right side.
  11. That White lay-up on the other end would be an and-1.
  12. Much nicer than what I was saying!!
  13. He was NOT THERE!!!!!!!!!!
  14. That is a terrible call on Shields!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. We've been stuck at 60-59 for awhile now.
  16. Shields might have to start gushing out blood to get a foul call going to the rim.
  17. Shields has been knocked down 4 times going to the rim, no foul calls?
  18. So, Miami guy pushes McVeigh on one end, no call!! Webster does the EXACT SAME THING, and gets called for a foul. Reason # 1001, I hate refs.
  19. That's when you know he was completely bullshitting and had no idea what to say Or maybe, he considers 7 non-conference games as experienced.
  20. We are playing decent defensively and offensively. The difference is offensive rebounding for them and them shooting 6 more free throws than we have. Keys to the 2nd half: Keep playing well on the defensive end, rebound, and get to the free throw line.
  21. Who is this analyst? Nebraska has experienced scorers in the Big 10?
  22. I'm surprised the Omaha zoo doesn't have any kangaroos.
  23. Couldn't watch the game. Ellis and Hammond are the same height and weight. Does Ellis have quite a bit more muscle so he could push Jake around?Sent from my XT1028 using Tapatalk He was moving Hammond pretty easily down low.
