I would spend hours and hours listening to coaches talk about basketball. This is a great show. The only bad part is that it is a half hour.

That alley oop dunk was probably the most impressive dunk I have seen. Most casual fans don't understand how hard it is to catch a pass thrown that hard while in flight. I think most fans were in awe of that play. It was like Roby was playing with a 7 foot rim.

I did not watch the CFP rankings, and I will not watch this. All it is, is a made for money programming. It's nice to know right now that Villanova is the overall seed. Who really cares? All the teams are made aware of the seeding and selection process at the beginning and schedule accordingly.

Watching that game, I feel my hatred for Missouri come back more and more. Thames was a punk. My hatred for Norm, brings me to my teenager days. -

This team needs to have a come to Jesus meeting, and get sick and tired of losing. If it's not one thing, it's another. One game they let the other team shoot 50 + % from 3. The next game, they get outshot at the free throw line by 25 attempts. Another game, they turn the ball over 22 times, and miss free throws. We have to figure out how to stop teams from making 3's, make free throws, and handle the ball. We have enough talent to beat most teams in the Big 10. -

#3 for Wisconsin graduates after this season, right? The guy is on the floor ALL the time!!!! He must be getting a 4.0 GPA in theatre for the flops he makes. -

Actually, Miles said they tried to get Watson a shot at the end of regulation. He gave it up because he didn't feel he could make the shot. They didn't want to go to Watson at the end of OT because of that. -
Those refs had no clue where they even were

The first time, I heard the home team's crowd boo a foul call that benefited them. -

This season sucks. The basketball gods are laughing at us, now. They were like, watch this. We'll have Mike, who hasn't attempted a 3 in conference play, make a 3 to tie the game. They were just delaying the inevitable for 5 minutes. Then, they just let Koening make a shot, that should have broke the backboard. -

Webster and Jordy should have about 30 free throw attempts tonight with all the contact. Webster got planted into the first row on a drive that he made. -

There is ZERO chance this crowd has a chance to be in this game. These piss poor refs have made sure that was the case. -

At least it's not just our game. I watched the Purdue/Indiana game, and they took about 3 minutes to try to figure out whether there should be a charge on Bryant (his 5th foul, and the right call), or a block on Swanigan (also, his 5th foul). After 3 minutes, they called a hung jury, and gave both players a foul, and they both fouled out. -

One would think. Of course, one also has to figure out what is a foul, what is a clean block, what is a hand check, what is a travel, what is a carry. If you can tell me in this game, what those are, then it will help. Happ, on one of Jordy's put backs, has his arm at a 45 degree angle, hits Jordy's elbow, and it is a no call, but Roby ties up the Wisconsin player, and it is a foul? These refs are inconsistent. Tai gets called for lowering his shoulder, but Happ gets away with doing it to Jordy? It goes both ways, so it is not like it is terrible one way or the other. -

How does baldy from half court decide that Roby's clean block wasn't clean, when there is another ref, right under the basket? -
Zero chance of a medical redshirt. He will play in over 50% of the teams game. I know the percentage is like 30 - 40% of playing in team's games.

That was a brutal game to watch, and a brutal game to listen to. Reece and Fran barely talked about the game. I had them tuned out pretty much all game. -
Michigan St. (13-9) vs. Nebraska (10-11) Game Thread
brfrad replied to Bugeaters1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
This game is pretty easy to summarize. One team went 11-17 from 3. The other team went 4-16 from 3. Everywhere else, we did enough to win. We had 16 offensive rebounds. MSU had 6. We went 17-22 from the line. MSU went 3-6 from the line. -
Game in 3OT on BTN. Going so long that the late game on BTN is going to be at halftime by the time the game gets over.

You got to look at the personnel on both ends. Yes, they have a great shooting team, but if you force into them a tough shot, I'd rather take that. You are trusting Jacobson and Roby to box out Swanigan and Haas on a free throw.
