  1. Who is putting on this broadcast? College students would do a better job. The graphics at the beginning of the game, had no idea where anyone was playing when they showed the batting order.
  2. Bats need to start waking up. 2 outs into the 4th inning, and no ball out of the infield, yet.
  3. He should be back because I feel this team has talent it hasn't had in quite some time. I think up until 3 games ago, this team was tough minded. They would lose a heartbreaker, and the next game, they would comeback and play hard, and take a talented opponent to the last few minutes. I think his team's seem to have high character kids, who work hard. We gave Doc and Barry a 6th year, after a lackluster 5 years. He made the NCAA tournament in his 2nd year.
  4. Yes, the glass is half-full!!!
  5. I will say Rutgers, easily. They are a terrible team. We shouldn't be losing to them.
  6. Part of that is playing with injuries, which most teams do throughout the season. Tai was seen walking out of the Michigan State game with ice bags from his knees to ankle on both legs. Watson played 4 games with a bad groin. We know about Morrow's injury. Roby playing with a bad hip. Having said that, I think it is more of a mental fatigue issue. We kept these heartbreaking losses, and would play decently the next game, and either take a good team to the wire, or end up winning the game. I think the Michigan State game finally broke our will.
  7. I agree Miles should get one more year. I can understand reasons not to bring him back. Four out of 5 losing seasons. We have won 3 of our last 11 this year. Last year, we won 2 of our last 11. Two years ago, we won 1 of our last 11, including losing 8 straight. The offense has struggled throughout his 5 years. Shooting has been rough for most of his tenure. Our defense has been getting worse throughout his tenure. Craig Smith is looking like the straw that stirred the drink.
  8. Michigan State shot 46.8% and Illinois shot 44.2%.
  9. That points to frustration for me. Our guys are trying to do way too much. Trying to make the play to get this team back in the game.
  10. I disagree. This is a team that is emotionally and physically spent. This is what I feared before the start of the conference season. The daunting schedule, with Webster, Watson, etc. playing basically the entire season is bound to catch up with you.
  11. Positives from the 1st half: Minnesota is shooting 0-5 from 3. Jacobson has 8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 assist, and only 1 turnover.
  12. This team is super frustrated like never before these last 3 games. We are not getting any calls (nothing new). We seem more and more frustrated by that now. We have players trying to play hero ball, and turning it over, far too much. We are not forcing turnovers.
  13. Probably the fact that Roby got "bleepin' hammered on one end, and you call that bullshit on our end?"
  14. I hope we have enough left in the tank for this week. I'm fearing that the brutal schedule is catching up to us.
  15. Minnesota was a dumpster fire last year. They won 8 games all season. They won 2 games in conference. Losses to USD, SDSU, and Milwaukee in the non conference. They had multiple losses by 25 points in conference, one of those to Rutgers (their only win in conference) There was even talk of Pitino being fired last year. This year they are one of the best teams in the Big 10, despite a young roster.
  16. Miles mentioned it on the post game radio show.
  17. Hopefully, she didn't hear some words she shouldn't be hearing.
  18. Minnesota last year did less with more. They had 8 wins TOTAL, and they had more talent than most teams. Both of those coaches have zero trips to the NCAA tournament. Granted, they probably make it this year. Miles' first 2 years, his teams got better at the end of the season. I think this year, we just are mentally fatigued.
  19. I hope I'm wrong, but I think this team is done mentally and physically. Tai is playing with one good leg. They've shown the ability to comeback from these types of losses, but there comes a time when we are not going to comeback from it, which we haven't the last 2 games. You can't let this snowball.
  20. We had been defending the 3 pretty well the last 4 games Wisconsin 8 - 22 Penn State 4 - 20 Ohio State 5 - 17 Michigan State 4 - 15 That means in the last 4 games teams were shooting 21 - 74. That is only 28.3 %. I am disappointed in the team tonight. This was the first time this year, I seen us get frustrated. We started to hang our heads after every 3, Illinois made. Then, instead of attacking the rim. We tried to take jump shots. If we did take it to the rim, we were getting no calls, again. I knew the first half was too good to be true. We actually had a foul advantage of 9 - 4. The 2nd half was rough.
  21. You mean having to have the Legends weekend game at 6:30 on a Sunday isn't beneficial? To top it off, we have Senior night at 7 on a Sunday.
  22. Sorry, I meant, losing the 2 games to rain. Hurts the team not to get some game action in, especially early in the season.
  23. That was Ben Klenke, a redshirt freshmen. Our pitching has been not very good this year. We better start righting the ship. 10 runs to Oregon State, 6 runs, through 8, to Utah. I thought our staff would be much more dominant. Much more worried about our bats, which have not started out, well. Losing those 2 games last week, really hurts this team.
