uneblinst's postgame chatter: vol 16; ed 10 - Mich St.

Down 7 with 24 seconds left or whatever is the right time to stop fouling. I would not be upset as a Nebraska fan if we gave up at that point. You go for the steal, and if you don't get it, that's game. -
Anybody thinking about making the trip to Tampa?

Is Hoiberg the coach of this team next year?

The image is NSFYS (not safe for your soul).... I do not recommend it lol. It's Ally Batenhorst wearing a Creighton shirt while gently embracing Baylor Scheierman after the Nebraska-Creighton game. -
Mich St. (4-4) vs. Nebraska (7-2) Game Thread

Whoever loses will be feeling pretty terrible about themselves with a record worse than their pre-season expectations. Whoever wins will feel like they can get their season back on track. -
KenPom 2023-2024 KenPom Rankings Thread

19-12 would be enough for an NIT bid, wouldn't it? NIT isn't giving the automatic qualifiers anymore to the lower-ranked conferences, so I thought there'd be quite a few P5 spots available. -
KenPom shows luck on his home page, but I wouldn't say luck is factored in to the rankings per se. A three point win is slightly better than a one point win which is slightly better than a one point loss. So if you win all of your games by one point over poor competition, you won't be ranked very high.

Increase the compensation of refs. The quality will improve over time.

Reaching out to any of these people in a professional manner about the front row students in blue and about the halftime show would be a good start. From https://huskers.com/staff-directory/ -

And the repercussion of this is that D-Wayne has lost all credibility lol, who said that that the group is "HI-LARE-EE-OUS" -
4-4 over the next 8 would be a tad disappointing if we're trying to make the tournament. At the same time, 4-4 makes the postseason fairly likely.

I haven't dug in to BartTorvik too much yet this season, but it's odd to me how he's projecting a 7 seed for a 21-10 record in a year when the Big Ten is down. Something doesn't add up there for me. -
We only need to go 2-2 to stay on track for an NCAA tourney bid IMO. I would be very much satisfied with 2-2. 3-1 and we'll be very near the top 25 rankings.

Haha I figured you all would react that way to my comment. Tim Miles was by far my favorite coach ever (I'm 34), and I hope he does well. I agree with all of those comments. But whether San Jose State moves from #128 to #126 or #130 has no bearing on Nebraska's season outlook. Majority rules though, so carry on. -

It is odd how much attention is given to someone who hasn't been our coach for five years, now coaching a Mountain West school. -

We are currently projected as an 11 seed on Bart Torvik's T-Ranketology https://barttorvik.com/tranketology.php? -
I didn't listen to the whole press conference, but did Hoiberg later say that Mast is fine? He's not playing in a game twelve days after the attack. That means it was significant.

Uhlis wasn't even very good at Iowa. Doesn't seem like a case where we go the extra mile and push hard to keep him given the circumstances IMO. -
Anybody know when we'll get some tip times announced for this season?
