I would have liked to open with a bit more of traditional basketball school, but this will get the students into it early. So I can live with it. Besides they didn't ask me did they.

Who do you want to open up PBA with?

Iowa and if the Big would have worked for us it could have been our last game at the BOB too. But noooooooooooooooo, it was Minny. We won so don't care. -
Every time I see this it just makes me pissed off. I made this basic point on another board last year in criticizing the fans who leave early and got jumped on by a bunch of (a-hole) posters who said I was being a Doc apologist and that the fans would stick around if there was something worth watching. Well, experience this past season has proven that not to be the case as we watched droves of fans leave at the 5 minute mark of competitive games against top tier teams. Makes me want to flip a gigantic bird at those a-holes who jumped my case and told me I had a "loser's mentality" for daring to suggest that it would help create more of a winning environment if the fans stayed and cheered. (I'm probably going to be bitter about this for a while.) Yeah it sucks when they flip me the bird when I leave in the third act of the opera, right before the fat lady sings. But you know how traffic gets with all those limos and such.

Its huge for a school that has struggled to bring in talent for many decades. TheKamdyMan thinks a snail could have recruited S Mohamed to UCLA because his father wanted him to play there. All the NU staff has do do is find a probable NBA first rould pick whose father wants him to play for Nebraska and then send a snail to sign him up. Our luck would be the kid is probably be like most kids who seldom listen to their parents and would end up playing somewhere else. Buying a snail is a lot cheaper than an ast coach's salary. you forgot this ( )

Hope it is a crappy beer. Because if it was a good beer and it crashed some of us just might cry.

Nebraska Basketball @HuskerHoops 8m We are underway with the @CoachMiles golf outing today. #Huskers pic.twitter.com/4d9bYtJgnx Is that Strickland, Coach, Henry T.(?), and is that Ray Ray? I know somebody will know.

See this site did help get a new coach. Miles found this site and saw how there are some very loyal fans for Husker BB, and told his family "That's where I want to raise a family, turn a program around and make a name for myself" Well maybe not that exact quote.

So, if we don't add anyone else for 2013 ...
Silverbacked1 replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Well, if I'm not mistaken, today is the last day of the late signing period. So, unless we get a kid to enroll (and check the right box on his UNL admissions application) in August without an LOI ... did we whiff? I'm still crossing my fingers for a last second surprise of a grad transfer to play the 5-spot, but I'm sure we are done. Now it's time for Vucetic to take his sleeping bag to the weightroom and camp out until practice starts next season. Should probably have meals delivered to him there hourly too. He has to get above 250 lbs by next season. I could camp with him and get him over 250 by this fall. But he might be more Andreish than some would like. -
Scout's National recruiting analyst for Basketball
Silverbacked1 replied to colhusker's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I think it is very positive that we were in on 2 of these guys on this list. Shows we are maybe pretty good at spotting that hidden talent that gets you over the hump. So that might mean that our other new guys are also hidden talents that others missed on. -
So, all the people who generally leave early could just bring along their laptops and blog or surf the web the last 5 minutes of the game so that they don't feel like they have to leave. Maybe put a Starbucks in there somewhere. And sell scones. Give the latte sippers something to do after the game besides beat the traffic on the way home. Put 10/11 on the big board so you can see the weather for tomorrow and maybe the cattle and hog prices could run across the bottom for some others.

Also saw that Sterling Brown was on that list. Didn't we make one of his lists? -

Considering that his father wanted Enes to go to school and get an education, I doubt Kerem is a one-and-done guy. http://aol.sportingnews.com/ncaa-basketball/feed/2010-09/enes-kanter/story/enes-kanters-father-says-turkish-club-is-trying-to-make-an-example-of-his-son Thanks, Did see he or his brother was born while dad was getting his Doctor of something degree.

Another lefty, wow. Who else is on his list?

Nebraska to only play Iowa once next year
Silverbacked1 replied to hhcmatt's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Well that does cut down on those horrible bus rides. Not like taking a "cheaper" plane ride. -
Nathan Hawkins @TheHawk_3 42m Get your favorite teams gear today.... looking ahh pic.twitter.com/LHXeFkffGn

He would be a 4 year player correct? Or would he try to be a one and done?
-
If he were to come we might have a very good starting rotation with all our lefties.

Wonder which country is after him?

Huskers Sell out Public Tickets at Pinnicle Bank
Silverbacked1 replied to Huskerbb73's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Do you know what the capacity of the arena would be if they expanded the upper deck? I wonder if Nebraska basketball would want to risk the sellout by adding seats. But on the other hand, the potential revenue would be even greater for big games if they were able to sell them out. It's an interesting thought though. Don't know why I neg-repped you there, I didn't mean to. Must have slipped when I hit the quote button. I have heard that building out the rest of the upper deck would push capacity to about 18k...not sure about the voracity of those claims, but it would be nice if we could get to that point. That would be pretty impressive if Nebrasketball could sell out 18k Is this where I insert the "if we sell alcohol" line we can take this another 20 pages or more?
