I kind of wondered about brad. His aviator was interesting and talked a lot about taking it like a man. Now I ain't saying anything but if you connected the dots... No offense to Norm, but I think his question is a losing attitude. I've watched us for most of my life, and I finally feel like we're good enough, and have a good enough coach. I think looking for silver linings is something that we have made ourselves do over the past decade plus. We shouldn't be accepting, which you are by talking about silver linings, I played my share of big games in high school, my coaches never talked about silver linings. You are either a winner or a loser in basketball. I think we're winners, but I think this kind of attitude from fans makes it easier to accept losing. Brad I think that some of us older guys 50 year old + tend to try to find silver linings in everything we do. I know it is much better than the white satin lining I will be seeing some day. For some it is just an age thing. You know kind of like when the old bull and young bull are standing on the hill over looking the heard. Well hopefully you know the rest of that story.

Every year we as fans seem to pick out the whipping boy for the team. This years seems to be Tai. Last year it was Benny, year before it was Rivers. Often times these players get stronger as they get older. Not always, because we can make a large list of guys Doc had. What I guess I'm saying is give it time, they might grow and then we feel dumb for making all the comments about them. I predict next years guy will be either Hammons or Leslee.

Nice report card Dave. Can't really argue with any of it. I agree that they will use this to be better in the long run. Growing pains, they suck but I think the players are much more upset than we are and they will change that.

So if that happens, does everyone hang around for an NIT selection party? In a heart beat. I would run... waddle over to the ticket office to get my tickets right there and now.

There is obviously optimism in Lincoln, but I don't think they're a lock just yet. The wins over Wisconsin, Ohio State and Michigan State look good, but they are 4-7 against the top 50, 8-9 against the top 100, and have three sub-100 losses. Moreover, they have a 4-11 record away from home. The RPI and SOS are solid, and they are playing well late in the season. It will be very close. I think Nebraska gets in, but it's not a sure thing.

Okay I'm going to ask this and I might get slapped a bit for this but here it goes... Does Craft get this much love if he isn't white? Often we hear that this kid is a coaches kid so he should play some way, white players are heady and hard working. Players of color are great athletes. Not trying to stir anything up,just a thought I had during the game. Especially after Dan D. went all gushy on why should anybody hate him.
