While Fred isn’t the wisecracker Tim is, he’s an engaging personality with an obvious command of his topic. His patience with the callers who are either a little nervous being on the air or half-in-the bag is also commendable. After spending YEARS watching him in/around the Timberwolves organization, I’m still taken aback at times that he’s Coaching at Nebraska...

A buddy of mine went out to Manny’s Steak House in Mpls last night with Tim after the DePaul/Gopher game. Said Tim is doing great, loves the new job, & is just biding his time until he finds the right opportunity to return to Coaching.

Growing up in Superior, when we first got cable television, there was no ESPN but there was TBS out of Atlanta & they showed ACC basketball. This was Lefty Drissell at Maryland, Dean Smith & the 4 corners at UNC, the best player at Duke was Gene Banks & Hawkeye Whitney was a Star ️ for the Wolfpack. That’s why I always get a kick out of this challenge in particular. I’ve always held ACC/B1G Basketball in the highest regard, & I’m hoping we can take care of business down there & come home with a “W”!

Looks like we’re in the “meaty” part of the curve on most of these. That FT percentage though would make Lonzo Ball blush...

The only guys I can think of that couldn’t shoot a lick & played in the NBA are Dennis Rodman & Ben Simmons... I’m hoping all three of them Banton, Stevenson, Walker are all honing their skills & not just marking time.
