  1. Can we change the thread title to "Xavier Johnson isN't" now?
  2. How do we know this for sure?
  3. Based on the video he released, this seems to be the main decision point.
  4. First Nebraska player to get drafted this year. Took 6 rounds:
  5. Not worthy of creating an entirely new thread, but for those of you who missed the NFL Draft rounds 1-3, Nebraska had a little representation. Probably no Nebraska players will be picked until the 6th or 7th round, but we had two representatives who announced draft picks on Friday during the 2nd/3rd rounds: Kris Brown and Quincy Enunwa They got the honors to announce draft picks as they were Walter Payton NFL Men of the Year award winners.
  6. So... three years?
  7. Well that's one way to show to coaches, recruits, parents, and the likes, that you fully support the coach: https://sports.yahoo.com/loyola-chicago-rewards-moser-deal-2025-26-223335324--ncaab.html Granted, he may have well earned that deal.
  8. Or did they mean crochet?
  9. How many Burnos are there in a year?
  10. Great! So now how do we keep him as far away from the state of New York as possible?
  11. That's assuming that the players who decide to continue with the draft actually end up getting drafted.
  12. Although getting rid of the one-and-done does hurt the college game a bit (which can definitely be debated; just look at this year's tournament where the one-and-done schools dropped out of the tournament early), I do think it takes a little pressure off of the NCAA and college basketball. The argument that players have may options to further their NBA aspirations in places other than the NCAA has been around for years. But now the NCAA can stand behind the "we're not forcing anybody to be here" motto.
  13. I'm sure agents and the apparel companies have already figured out arbitrage opportunities as to what constitutes "signing with an agent." Didn't we find out that players were making agent/apparel deals as early as AAU should they make it to the NBA?
  14. If only Steve Pederson was the one able to lift our basketball program into mediocrity...
  15. Based on what I was seeing with the new RPI/Quad system this past year, there was much more weight put on not having any Q4 losses, which seems to be a factor for why 11 of 12 Big 12 teams were able to slide into the tournament.
  16. It depends how you look at it. "Right now it's a tie between a team who just got a new coach with great coaching experience, has made it to the Big Dance 13 times in the 2000s, and is part of a strong basketball tradition... or a school that has a coach who he's not sure whether he's gone within the next 2 years or not, has made it to the Big Dance 2 times in the 200s, and is part of a mediocre basketball tradition but has the ability to create or be part of building that tradition." It might be a harder choice than some people initially think.
  17. I really don't know how you can chalk up any moral victories in a game where you give up 12 runs.
  18. Bottom of the 7th. 2 outs. A chance to pull it within a 1-point deficit. Pitch 1: Check swing, called strike Pitch 2: Strike, caught looking Pitch 3: Check swing, called strike
  19. At least this is a close game.
  20. Exactly......probably even less than a 0% chance. Well no duh. We have to wait for Altman to accept the HC job before he hired Lue as an assistant!
  21. This is also a technique some ADs may use to say "Look, you didn't get it done. So now we have to move on." Knowing full and well they're likely to fail next season, especially given the extra barriers you enabled.
