The general Mavsker embraces success for both programs. They may cheer harder for one versus the other, but they don't wish bad will on the other program.

"Willing to consider..."? If a venue is a recurring regional site for the NCAA tournament, then it's worthy of consideration for a conference tournament. Sure, look at accessibility for fans to attend. But that's not even a question when attendance has been so poor in their D.C. and NYC experiments.

Interestingly he played his first 17 games with double digit minutes (22 average minutes) but the moment they played us, his average minutes went down to 3.5 in the final 13 games. Seems they've known he's been a problem for awhile now.

This is a true statement across the country and across sports. Attendance to live sporting events are taking a major hit this decade as alternatives and accessibility to those alternatives increase. This is a problem even at the highest levels like the NFL and MLB. Improving the in-game experience and amenities is one way to try and attract more people to an event, beyond those basketball junkies who are there even if they had to sit in lawn chairs.

For what it's worth to a couple people on here, Wofford ended up winning its conference tournament.

But the Big Ten was down last year. Michigan clearly wasn't even that good.

This generally works 99% of the time. But there seems to be around 1-2 every single year where you're thinking "why did they let them in?" or "why didn't they get in?" It's just unfortunate that our team has even been near that territory more often than not.

That's probably going to be the case. But there also haven't been any similar examples of teams playing 20 game conference schedules. And maybe that's part of the reason why conference records aren't included in the team sheets. I suppose they're looking at more of "controllable" scheduling of games. Who knows?

None of those metrics are on the team sheets. I'm not saying they can't try to do the math and make that a consideration, but the idea for the committee was to create team sheets with data points that matter to them most. And if I recall last season, nearly everyone in the Big 12 was in or on the bubble except for Iowa State for much of the same circumstances that Nebraska is in right now.
