uneblinstu's Post Game Chatter: Vol 9, Ed 15 - Iowa
uneblinstu replied to hhcmatt's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
- Three games in, three attempts from 3 that aren't from Webster, Watson or Horne. NU currently the best 3 point shooting team since conference play began. - Best back court since Lue-Belcher? - This was one of the best games I've ever atteneded. At least the most entertaining. Doesn't need to be a perfect game and this wasn't, but it was as good a game as I've ever seen. The moment and environment were bigger in 2014 vs. Wisconsin, but this game was better. - That may not have been a heavy-weight fight but it was at least a welterweight match. - Glynn and Webster were as good as I've ever seen. Glynn's best offensive game, solid on defense. Webster's work in overtime with 4 fouls on Jok was a masterpiece. - Curious to see ho bad the hip is for Roby. - Surprised Ed sat so much in the 2nd half. Jordy didn't play a ton either. Probably could have used a few more minutes from both of 'em. - This was as big of a win for the program as either of the two road wins. Just a big time win for the program. Super pumped for how hard they fought. They had to overcome a bunch of physical, emotional, psychological, metaphysical things to win this. Just phenomenal stuff. - Thanks, @hhcdimes for filling in for me last night. - @Norm Peterson, I screen grabbed your post. It's popular on the Twitter right now... -
Rather than a forum, what about just a ticket exchange thread?
-
There are many, many times that tickets are well below face.
-
NU and Miles doing well and requiring an extension after this season would be the best case scenario for Eichorst. And it won't be *that* much more expensive.
-
Well, this is a timely bump, huh Shawn? Posted two minutes before yours.

Wait...why is the MSU game here a probable L?

Our remaining schedule is pretty awesome

I remember in the middle of the run in 2014, @Norm Peterson said repeatedly that if they're good enough to be a tournament team, they'll win the games they need to win. If they're not, they won't, or something to that effect. Seems like the same thing applies here. -

This is fascinating to me. Something I certainly did not see coming. -
Said it at the time, that Dayton game was the biggest one we would have all year, or at least in the non-con.

Not wild about the football comps in there.

Biggest week of the season coming up
uneblinstu replied to uneblinstu's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
If they win on Thursday, I doubt it. -
This is arguably one of the biggest weeks of the season. The Huskers had a good week, great, even! They're getting all sort of positive press and even showing up on NCAA Tournament projections. They earned every bit of that. How they handle that this week when they come home to play two teams they should beat, but are not significantly better than, will tell us a lot about where this team will end up. They will play better teams, but they need to play well this week to carry over what we just saw this past week. We'll learn a lot about this squad this week.

Anybody seen Shareef Mitchell play? One of the highest scorers in the Metro, might be the highest. He's a junior.

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!

2014 PFIsaac Copeland ->GTown -> Nebraska

That's why I put some qualifiers in there. But we've had more "success" with traditional transfers than we have the senior transfer route. -

And they were pretty, too. Really nice looking kit. -

No inside info here, but NU doesn't usually get involved with transfers and not land 'em, it seems. -

I thought it was big time advantage NU, actually. -

He grabbed the dude by the arm and pulled him to the ground. Can't do that. -

I thought it was both. But I could see the argument the other way. -

I'm with ya, but the F1 was still the right call, even if the word "flagrant" isn't the right word for what it actually is. -

IU fans were all up in a tizzy because they thought the NU bench was laughing about it based on a screen grab where Malcolm Laws might have had a slight grin. He could have been mid word or something, but nowhere did anyone on the NU bench or Jordy himself show anything but concern or remorse. That whole game was incredibly physical. Tai took a beating. If I were him, I'd still be feeling it a week from now. -

He basically ran the offense, though, in the second half when IU went to zone. He could run the point if he need to.
