  1. Didn't sign an agent, though.
  2. I think they're casting a wide net. I'm sure there is some pressure to commit, or at least I'd imagine they're being up front with the fact they're offering a bunch of guys and first one to commit gets the spot. I don't think this has anything to do with Smith. I've got the impression Smith has a spot if he wants it, but they have a back up plan in case he chooses somewhere else and the other spot is going to a transfer, either JUCO or SR transfer.
  3. Heckuva run by the Wolverines.
  4. I find it interesting they're going hard after JUCO guards. Maybe that's where better options are but if they add a JUCO shooter, next year's JR class suddenly becomes massive. It's already at 7. It will be interesting to see how they handle that class.
  5. Looks like the competition could be tougher here than for Copeland. Tennessee has offered, I've seen Virginia, Miss. St., Memphis and some mid-majors have shown interest. http://tennessee.247sports.com/Article/JUCO-combo-guard-has-Tennessee-Vols-basketballs-attention-other--51919879
  6. In the little I've seen of Gonzaga, I see a lot of similarities between Karnowski and Jordy. They both like that little run across the lane hook shot. They're both left handed. They're both huge. I think there are other similarities. Karnowski is more developed, obviously, but I think as he develops, it could look pretty similar. Coaches, talent evaluaters: am I on track with that comp?
  7. Bo Spencer was a pretty big time senior transfer, IIRC.
  8. Mo Valley (as long as Wichita's in it) is a better league than the Summit.
  9. I probably wouldn't take a guy with Mack's history unless there's some sort of extenuating circumstances. Brown, I wouldn't hesitate.
  10. Always run that risk. I don't think there are any bad rumors out there about Brown, he could be a really good piece. If the rumors about Mack are true, that's a piece I'd do plenty of vetting on before I went down that road.
  11. Or potential clubhouse cancer?
  12. You can also see it on Huskers.com.
  13. He's planning to take several unofficials, right? Lincoln is a short drive from Manhattan.
  14. Hmmm...too bad.
  15. Can he play right away?
  16. Well, Chang's still a year away. He's not a guy you give one to if there's room. He's a guy who's gonna get a bunch of offers this summer. And I don't think our team was that selfish, they just aren't as talented or experienced as Michigan.
  17. Lots of guys have done well at mid-majors and struggled to win consistently at a high major school.
  18. Again, I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone say they want to be like Wisconsin in terms of how they play. It's more about the notion that they were once a terrible program and built it into a consistent winner. That's what people reference, not the style of play. Is Iowa State better? Wisconsin has been better more consistently the last two decades and have gone a lot deeper in the tournament than the Clones have.
  19. I don't think the Wisconsin conversation has ever been about style of play.
  20. It would seem pretty ok to me, too.
  21. Helluva year for the Cats. Hopefully that will be us soon.
  22. This looks more like the Northwestern team I've watched this year.
  23. Looks more to me like the stage is a bit too big for them. Shots are long, not short. I don't think the energy is the problem.
  24. Northwestern needs to settle down. Playing like what I'd expect from a team trying to make their first ever Sweet 16.
